"po" is an honorrific word in the Philippines, which is usually placed in the middle or end of a sentence. examples: Magandang araw po (good day!) Isa lang po (just one) Where are you from? (you can say: Sa England po) :) Nice video!

Hello guys! Suha is Pomelo in english. I admire you guys for being adventurous and good thing my fellow Filipinos are very friendly. Quiapo market is considered a rough area and I always remind foreigners to be mindful of your belongings. Better if you have a local guide with you. Not all can understand you because of the accent. They can understand you but many vendors there are shy to speak english. Enjoy your adventures in the Philippines!

Hello beautiful couple, please be extra careful when you’re in a populated market place. Always place your backpack in front for safety reasons. You can also try going to Greenhills mall in Mandaluyong, you can find cheap items there as well. Don’t miss out BGC, it’s the most beautiful place in Manila. If you still have time, you can do island hopping like: Palawan, Boracay, Cebu. Bohol & many more. Enjoy your shopping in Quiapo. When you hear Filipinos say “po” at the end of their sentence, it means “yes” in a respectful way. It’s a show of respect “po” & “opo” Take care.. you guys rock!

It's pronounced kya-poh. Also when you hear "po" at the end of the sentence, it's not included in the word. Like when the lady said "talong po". Talong means eggplant. Po is just a politeness marker. You'd hear "salamat po" (salamat) is thank you. Po is just added at the end of their replies.

@@dacedaine822 Yeah! Thanks for allowing yourselves to experience the actual city vibes of the common folks that have already been forgotten or remain hidden from the eyes even of most locals whose upbringing and lifestyle have been replaced by malling. Some trivia: The famous food chain franchisee Jollibee started its first tiny hamburger retail store beside another success story, the Mercury Drug Store (its first main store ), at Plaza Miranda in Quiapo. And the SM Malls chain started its very first store solely as a shoe store in Carriedo St., also in Quiapo Manila. Thus, these three commercial giants have origins in that spot. Shoppers used to converge in that area some decades ago, especially at Christmastime. That's the reason I consider Quiapo the heart of the city and of the country during the 1960s. Thanks for discovering and appreciating my country!

that wasn't fish lol, that is talong - an eggplant or aubergine. it is coated with egg and fried sort of an omellete. Suha is also known as Pomelo (yes kind of like grapefruit), it is a fruit native to Davao in the southern island of Mindanao. by the way if you notice, some of the locals add the word "po" after each sentence. That is a term of respect eg. Salamat = Thank you, Walang anuman = You're welcome and then add the 'Po" at the end. "Opo" is the respectful term for "yes".
