It's the torque steer and the fact that old 2000s GMs have shit suspension that breaks every 2 seconds. Mine is similar to this

I have the same car...same engine but I put brand new 3.5 liter heads on my car and put are head bolts and felpro head gaskets....it runs super good...

I ported and polished everything from the headers to the plenum in my 99 gt 3.4. Thing ran so buttery smooth and quick...untilnit spun a rod about a year ago from stomping on it like that one too many times. Save yourself the heart ache my man.

Oh yeah we do. They are the ultimate sleeper build cars. Nobody ever expects it. I love my pontiac they are as fast as a charger and more quiet and fuel efficient

Had an 03 grand am 3.4 and it was literally the slowest car ive ever had. They are fun but I wouldn’t exactly say “quick” i have a monte carlo with the same motor and a couple minor mods and exhuast it pulls like a v8

@@hudsongrant1156 its still probably not “quick”, its okay tho cuz i have a v8 car thats slow as balls😭your grand am is probably as fast as my crown vic. i got some vids on my channel. we have to get to a point where we embrace the slowness though💪💪better to drive a slow car fast, than drive a fast car slow

I remember my dad had one as a loaner car in 2004-2005 and I remember that thing was fast 💨 for the time…now I own an AMG but I still miss this period of American cars! I’m thinking of buying one as a beater r they reliable?

I tested it, roughly the same, if you're flooring it in drive it'll basically rev out the 2 gears that actually matter. They're such long gears it doesn't make a difference.

About an 8.5s 0-60mph. About average for today's modern cars and sorta fast for back then. I prefer my gtp comp g :)

hell yeah. my dad used to have a comp g but unfortunately it was totaled maybe 5 years or so. i miss that supercharger whine. when i was 5 or 6 i used to thing that thing was the fastest car in the world😂

Yes. I bought mine for 2k in 2022. It’s a 2005. I ended up having to put an engine in it but it’s been worth it.
