Good vid and good times! I loved the burnout at the end! I gotta catch up on your car show vids soon, been sick as a dog the last week or so and had my procedure done too. I've been looking into some better tires on a budget for the green machine and I'm thinking of trying the old school trick of running soft dirt track tires. Evidently this used to be the way to hook up good on the street before good drag radials and such were invented. A lot of people say it's a bad idea because they aren't DOT approved for highway use but unlike straight drag slicks dirt track tires were designed for hard turning and a lot of people that do run them claim the treads on dirt track tires handle the wet pavement way better than a slick or drag radial while still offering the same level of dry traction. I was digging into this on forums the other night and saw a handful of guys claiming they used the old discontinued Hoosier Dirt Bozz round track tires to make their cars hook up hard enough to pick up the front wheels on the street. Not sure if you are bold enough to run tires on the street that say "not for highway use" but I'm planning to give it a try.

Temperature makes such a huge difference with different tire compounds. What tires were you running when you got the 3.7?
@b5beast611

I had the Mickeys on it from the Daytona temporarily to test them on the Hellcat. I think I would of got lower numbers with the continentals for sure if it was cooler.

@@b5beast611 depends on both surface temp and temp of the tires. Mickey's probably have a much softer sidewall letting it squat a bit More..plus the mickey is probably a 200 tw tire

@@b5beast611 you mean if it was warmer. You should make Continentals hot to get a good grip. If you got 3.7 with Mickeys I believe that continentals would have given you lower if they get to their optimum temperature. Continentals are simply better tires.

Weird. I would have expected a bit better. With the extreme contacts I would expect a little better with the softer sidewalls. It could be poor DA but that shouldn’t kill forced air that much. Guess you gotta get drag radials for the best 0-60. Still fun as all heck. Damn that was nice at the end.

So what tire is better for an everyday summer tire that has a 30k warranty lol? The PS4’s are the same or a little better but are worn down and shit after 3 months of normal driving. They are soo soft.
