Typowy potencjometr o małej mocy ulegnie przepaleniu już przy około 5-6 A obciążenia wyjścia. Tutaj najlepszy byłby układ Darlingtona z mniejszym tranzystorem jako pierwszym stopniem i dużo mniejszym prądem bazy. Albo po prostu duży tranzystor Darlingtona. // A typical low power potentiometer will burn out at around 5-6A output load. Here, the best solution would be a Darlington circuit with a smaller transistor as the first stage and a much lower base current. Or just a large Darlington transistor.

Nope. The 2N3055 has a practical Hfe (gain) of 10-15 in this application, so to supply the base with nearly 1 amp *through* a carbon wiper pot is insanely unreliable.

The potentiometer will burn out at a load current of several amperes. Here, a Darlington circuit should be used, with an additional, smaller transistor at the input, or simply use a single Darlington transistor instead of 2N3055.

Use the 2N3773 or the MJ15003 to support the voltages you suggested. The power rating of the potentiometer may need to be increased.

Zéro à 60 v, 15 À, really ?! I believe that the author uses to forget a lot of "details"! Ex: output:5v, current :15A =75w to the output.. But 60v -5 =55v, with 15A,who are dissipated by the transistor 2n3055, so 825W!! Sure that the transistor cannot dissipate 825 W, even with its big heat sink !! Theses performs are true, when it observes the dissipation hyperbole of the transistor, and have not to exceed power max of it.

for a beginner like me, it's the beginning of the road... in my country there are no teachers who know how to explain such things to students or children from grades 1-8... because of this, the students have addictions to drug dealers or budding criminals...they don't have the decency to say "hello mom" or "thanks for the meal"...they just say: "give me money or..."...please add something valuable to this video, don't you consider that all children and students must have the minimum knowledge in this field... teach us something from your experience, criticism without explanations means chaos and ignorance... at the minimum level of knowledge... your pride is greater than the desire to teach someone the basic principles? in this case, it's better to "shut up" and be smart where you work... if you don't have the gift of teaching children the science of electronics, stay in your "puddle" at home where you are a big frog in a small pond

Muy buen y sencillo diseño, pero para fines educativos ya que para ser usado como fuente de laboratorio, así sea para un principiante tiene un par de defectos, Los 15 A. son el limite de corriente del semiconductor, o sea se lo haria trabajar al limite, no recondable, Ud. lo presenta como una fuente de 0 a 60 V. ahí va a tener un inconveniente serio, el limite de tension segun el fabricante del 2N3055 es de 50 V. alli tiene un problema serio, y Ud. no aclara en nigun momento que se trate de un equipo experimental o educativo, entonces se deduce que es una herramienta para laboratorio, Yo le recomendaria modificar los conductores del Colector y el Emisor y las pistas relacionadas, porque en cuanto comiencen a circular una corriente 15 amper por ellos, la resistividad propia de los conductores van a comenzar a generar perdidas termicas -calor- propio de la subdimension y aparejado no va a entregar los 60 volts ni de casualidad, amen de el riesgo quer los conductores y las pistas relacionadas se fundan, poco serio lo suyo amigo
