你好 ! I just found out about your KZitem Channel, and I have to say, your channel is amazing! My girlfriend is Taiwanese so I have to learn the language. For me, the reason why your videos are better than others is especially because you put the "BE, PE, ME". Because of that, I can practice how to write it and pronounce it. I am currently working on this video, practicing writing these words. I don't know if you have other videos like this one. If not I'd like to see more of them because it is great to build vocabulary. Everywhere, we find only tool to learn chinese from China, HSK and it is not what I am looking for. It is so nice to find a channel that fits my need. When I will be better with my Chinese I will probably join your patreon page. Keep up the good work! Thank you very much for your channel and have a good day! 再見 !

A very helpful video for Mandarin learners, particularly for beginners! As far as I know, 早上 (zǎo shàng) is used mostly to describe the early morning from 05.00 to 8.00 AM, however, 上午 (shàng wǔ) is used to describe the time in the morning from 08.00 to 11.00 AM. Please correct me if I am wrong.
@MandarinWithMissLin
4 жыл бұрын
Nurettin Gevri Generally 上午可能比較正式一點喔。 Perhaps 上午 sounds more formal to me. The truth is, I’m not really sure. I tend to only use 早上 to indicate in the morning. Let’s say 5: 00-10:30. If it’s 11, I’d say 接近中午( close to noon) However, if I want to say the whole morning, I’d say 一整個上午 or 一整個早上。When I speak to my sisters or closed friends, that’s usually the case. I also notice that students like to 上午, wondering if it’s because it’s widely used in the textbook or maybe it’s the CORRECT way?!

Nice video for all the beginners. One suggestion for improvement. When you do gestures with your hand, try to do moves from your right-hand side to your left-hand side. For example, when you try to illustrate the 2nd tone, move your hand from your low-right to your high-left side. Why? Record a few examples, and then watch them. You will see the difference.

I noticed that Korean pronunciation of ㅎ(h) becomes ㅅ(s) so many times. For example, 학교(hak gyo) becomes Xexiao (쉐샤오ㅡ shehshao) meaning school. 대학 (Dae hak) becomes Daxue (따쉐ㅡdasheh) meaning university. Anyway I can understand 130 words well. Thank you teacher 😘

Your pronunciation is old Chinese, people of Cantonese and Fujian/Taiwan dialect pronounce the same way Cantonese Dai Hak, Hokkien Dua Hak. Student = Hok San and Hak Sen. Mandarin is influenced by Manchu and Mongols.
@TalaySeedam

The "h" sound in Middle Chinese changed to the "hsi" sound and voiced consonants transformed into glides in Modern Mandarin. Therefore, 希望, originally pronounced as "hi-bang," changed to hsi-wang (si-wang).

Toby Yes, Toby, there is quite a big difference between the two words when pronounced correctly and clearly. Zhao begins with the tongue slightly curled, moving straight on to the “ao” (Think: J+ow as in British English “how”)
