In this video, we repair a coolant leak by replacing the thermostat in a first generation 2006 Mazda 3 with the 2.3 liter engine. While the coolant is drained from the system, we also replace the water pump, and then refill the system with waterless coolant. Because there is no water, it will help minimize corrosion within the engine and regulate engine component temperatures more efficiently. In fact, because the boiling point of waterless coolant is so much higher than normal coolant, you never have to worry about steam burns (even when removing the reservoir cap at normal operating temperatures). It is a valuable upgrade. Hope you find the video helpful.
