My current understanding is that atrial fibrillation is caused by a stretching of the left atrium. This is alleged to be caused by high blood pressure but it makes sense that certain oils might make the atrium more pliable and hence stretchier. Usually things that make the atrium softer can also make the blood vessels soften which reduces the stretching of the atrium but may not always soften the vessels as much as the atrium. This could be a situation that produces Afib when the right amount of omega-3s are introduced to the system as the atrium stretched more than the vessels causing the atrium to absorb the shock of the heart beat.

You’ve more than likely saved my life. You get it. You would be shocked on how drs are not aware of chronic pain. It is a thing. It drives you crazy. I have a high tolerance to pain. I walked around for 16 days with bone broke and pushed my plates out of arm. I thought it was scar tissue. But my back is so bad it’s 24 hrs or if at any time I’m up I can’t walk without holding onto something. It’s awful

im taking omega 3 fatty acids 1,200mg/day for 6 mos. now and my osteoarthritis are gone significantly after 2 months and continue taking it up to now, my doctor therapist advised me take this fish oil to remove pain & inflammatory annd its effective 90% and it has lots of benefits my sleep become normal, my memory loss had gone, strong immune system, & less depression.

Hi Dr. Andrea Furlan, looks like almost each and every one of your videos/presentation has very much in common with the medications I take. Omega -3 for example. I didn't know the risk involves with this. However, I lower the bad cholesterol considerably. Could you also explain the interactions with some other medications as well? Great presentations! Dr. Furlan, thank you for your informative videos. I'm anemic and take B-12 shots once a month, Folic acid, and prescribed iron pills. I also have MS and have developed severe inflammation in my lower spine which causes my back muscles to tense up when walking and standing to the point I can't walk on treadmill anymore and lay in bed longer. I also have fatigue which comes with the MS but is mainly now from the pain with the inflammation. I understand sugars are bad for inflammation and make it worse. Could you discuss this. Have you tried mega doses of Vitamin D ? I think you should look into that. I’m talking taking 50,000 ius. And no it’s not Toxic at that level.

I take the number one fish supplement it's 1,460 mg. It's third party tested and produce in a FDA factory GMP. And the oil supplements are from sardines and some other fish that have the less Mercury as possible. I've been eating 3 oz salmon almost every day. With an avocado mixed in it with two pieces of bread and about 10 pieces of butter lettuce. With a one glass 8 oz hemp milk

Thanks so much for all your information - again! I have had to discover alternative treatments in place of narcotics for my Chronic Pain. The only pain meds I'm on is Topamax for Migraine prevention and "Cymbalta" for Fibromyalgia pain. I have done all my own research & had read that Omega 3 would helpful. It was a matter of finding the correct dose & dosage for me. I realize it basically "works" on the blood vessels yet I can't deny it does keep the inflammation down in my muscles & thus controls pain (along with the other combined Supplements that I have discovered). I do have my Alpha Stim Machine that I was just able to replace this past March after not having one for 5 years.)

Hello Andrea. I am a 60 years old person with muscular dystrophy. Due to prolonged sitting now I have chronic pain in my left hip. I have to take painkiller daily. But NSAIDs are not supposed to be taken daily. I feel I have to take painkiller daily for the rest of my life. Ultimately I have to take Tramadol or Tapentadol ER. It is yet to be decided which of them will be good in long term use. Can you please guide?

Thank you for sharing. I take 3 oméga 3 tablets à day for chronic RA pain. I was taking 1 but didn't really do any difference so I have increased it and without any arthritis medication I manage the pain. I also take MSM powder every day. Do you think 3 tablets is too much or dangerous? Thank you again 🙏

Yeah i had taken omega 3 too . Excuse me Doctor. I would like to tell you that my brother had pain like neuralgia sine 2018. He had done that radio frequency too but till now he is still on medication. Any exercises for him too. Thanks n may God bless you with more n more knowledge a

I’ve been taking omega 3 and turmeric for a while. Honestly it hasn’t completely rid of my back and toe pain but I think it helps a bit so the pain won’t be excruciating?
Dr, Furlan, we moved from Florida, USA to retire here in the Philippines. I had severe osteoarthritis and was taking an injection of Prolia Denosumab 60 mg. every 6 months in Florida by my rheumatologist. We don;t live in a city where there are rheumatologists, so I have missed my Prolia injection for over a year now. It is very expensive here, too, because Medicare and Medicare Advantage companies are not recognized here in the Philippines. I take have been taking Glucosamine with Chrondroitin once a day, but I was just listening to your video and heard i should take them twice a day. I also take Fish Oil once a day. My rheumatologist in Florida also prescribed Tramadol 50 mg. 3 times a day for my Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Spinal stenosis, but my doctor here in the the Philippines just wants me to take it only once as day. Can you give me some advice?

Tramadol is a weak opiate and most doctors won’t prescribe it at all. If you need more to function you may be best off moving back to Florida as there is a worldwide effort to cut people off of their opioid prescriptions. Good luck, I have neck pain too from spinal stenosis and take Tylenol.

How much omega 3 is too much ? I have titrated to 2 grams every 8 hours, and have seen some improvements after 3 months.Came off opioids, and lost 75 lbs.Still taking somewhat of Beating.

Hi Dr. Furlan, thank you for sharing this ideas. I am a double primary cancer survivor for a decade and I am currently a g-tube feeder (i ate through gastrostomy tube only). For since i became a g-tube feeder I use to feed only chicken meat, i never had fish for a decade. Recently, my ENT Doctor diagnosed me of nerve pain in my head because I complaint to him my oftenly discomfort headache. You think fish oil can help me to prevent this nerve headache? As a cancer survivor is it ok for me to take this fish oil? I wish I could get reply from you 🙂. More power to your blog...
