@babskaz74 One reason I moved home to Massachusetts from Texas was fire ants. My little boy just reacted worse and worse. While I admire insects I think we can all agree not all of them [also arachnids] My question is. We know they swarm and move the queen making it impossible to kill them with most methods. Is that why? Are they swarming to get out of the water carrying or protecting the queen? And babies"?

i did not realize the water came up that far . i live in little washington . i have not gone out to see it yet .still raining and i only have a moped

I'll bet one of the 1st places to flood was that stretch of 264, between 17 and the east end of town. I remember how a heavy rain storm would be enough to do that.

Many of the homes have stairs leading to the front door built 5 feet off the ground in anticipation of flooding I suspect.
