I also have been using my trimmer with blade to cut down old dry weeds from my farm. I also bought a compact Kubota tractor with front loader and bush hog for mowing areas to keep weeds from taking over. I will not burn my brush piles until it is a non windy evening. We cannot have burn piles until after 6 pm. It was interesting to see you cutting down the large thorn bush. I have cut down 2 from a fence row and have another large one I will remove with the tractor front end loader. Much success to you and your wife for making your small farm look great.
I love your videos and I have been watching them for a long time, you two are so smart and have great ideas, I think fixing the drain and water problems were genius. Hope y’all have a wonderful summer and make the rice fields look great again. Hopefully no more wild fires! I wish I could go to Japan one day is my dream.
I love watching your movies. I live in Northern California and I do not speak or write Japanese. I used to do Landscaping, Construction, and Masonry. Watching your movies reminds me of what I used to

Nice work. lots area cleared. as exfirey when building bonfire what you can do wet the ground around it about 3mts/9ft from edge of bonfire and that way less change runaway fire higher the bonfire its maths if it 1mt+ 1mt the wet area 3 times so if 2mts +2mts wet area is 6mts in size if you get my meaning. thats here in Australia may different in Japan. but saying you have good fire management. Well done
Bonjour ! 🌸🌸🌸
Steady winds that are between 6 and 16 kph (4-10 mph) are usually fine for burning brush piles. Conditions above or below those speeds should be avoided for outdoor burning, as are gusty winds and low humidity and extended lack of rain. If you also experience a lot of shifting winds, it's also best to wait to burn until another time to burn. I have a set of large wind chimes that require winds above 15 kph to chime, so if they are chiming or the wind is gusty, I don't burn on those days. :) I'm curious about the plant identified in the video as a giant marimo. In my experience, marimo are balls of moss, often used in terrariums or aquariums. This plant looks like it belongs in the Rosaceae family? Any idea what its scientific name is? I'm very curious!
I see the need for the "saw blade" type cutter for your trimmers (bamboo, etc.) Have you tried a 2.5mm nylon string trimmer head for the grass / weeds applications? I use that successfully here in the US on even tree (new) sprouts.
There is simple design for a "lever" type root extractor that you may be interested in making / using. I see your skill level with machines and feel you would be capable of making / using / developing this further. If you like I can send a sketch. let me know.
