My mom was like this and is like this. Anytime something good happened in my life, I couldn't enjoy it she'd find a way to suck the life and joy out of it. The best joys I had while growing up was Junior prom, doing a rap at FCA, and doing a rap song at a school about saying no to drugs at a school. I had to not be around her to have any joy, she was a joy and dream sucker.

Besides the toxicity, i actually agree with Evelyn. Children need constant pushing to excel. Don't crush them, but don't let them settle either.
@AgentAnime95
2 жыл бұрын
That's really fucked up cause no they don't need constant pushing especially if it's something they don't want to excel in. What they need is love & support from both parents, if there is something the kid wants to do in life then they should support that, if you push someone into something they don't want to do then 100% of the time they're not gonna want to do said thing. Like if the kid wants to learn something new then you can encourage it and be there but being pushy/over bearing *never* works.
