I loved Lancer, but especially when Andy Prine was a guest star. Andy was my love when I was 17. I'm 80 now and he has passed, but he will always live in my heart.

Jim was so kind with kids. I love him so much. I miss him so much. He was my hero when I was 12 or 13. Now I am 62 and still love him.

Kind he was indeed. I just googled his history because I thought he was so handsome..news...he was hit by a drunk driver in 73 and had his left leg and arm amputated, he was sent to prison for 6 years for molesting a friends daughter and attacking two other adolescence. He was considered a pedophile...I am crushed by this news

@@tumarah-hv6gf it's like any other "hollywood" story there is more than one version. You don't really know what to believe

I am 77 and Did Not see any of the Lancer Series until a Month ago. I was hooked and So disapointed thar I missed this. I did some follow up searches on All the Cast...Came across an interestng article about James Stacy regarding him ssrving a prison term for molesting a child. Years later the girl now a woman revealed her Mother made her Lie . So Sad. Stacy had losted half of his body...He was a wonderful actor...My heart hurt for him even tho I never saw a episode of LANCER until I was 77 ...

@petrakatz3128 Absolutely agree with your comment. Like to read your touching words. Scene 29:45 Johnny is smiling so sweet. The sweetest smile on earth. It brings my heart to smelt. Hugs from a German Fan.

I saw this because somebody mentioned a similarity to the ficticious episode in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."

THIS EPISODE, WAS BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN BECAUSE IT WRITTEN FOR THE JAMES STACY CHARACTER(JOHNNY LANCER). BECAUSE, EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE FAMILY, YOU NEED TO FEEL THAT SAME SENSE. AND THIS WAS THE WAY HE SAW PONY ALICE. A LITTLE GIRL WITH A NON APPROACH IDEA ABOUT FAMILY. IN SENSE JOHNNY KNOWS WHAT A FAMILY CAN ADD TO YOUR LIFE. ALICE IS VERY WISE AT A YOUNG AGE. SHE SENSES THE WAY JOHNNY FEELS ABOUT HER, IN THE WAY HE WANTS TO GIVE HER THE NEED OF A REAL FAMILY. UNBE KNOWN TO ALICE, THE FAMILY, HER UNCLE IS DYING. FOR THEN SHE WILL BE ALONE. FOR JOHNNY GROWING UP IN THE BORDER TOWNS ALONG WAS HORRIBLE. HE LEARN TO SURVIVE BECAUSE HE WAS OLDER, BUT ALICE IS A LITTLE GIRL. MURDOCH LANCER WAS ABLE TO FIND HIS LOST SON, THE GUN FIGHTER JOHNNY MADRID. JOHNNY WAS GIVEN A SECOND LIFE. HE WANTS THE SAME FOR ALICE.(ANDREW PRINE), (EVE PLUMB), & (JEANNE COOPER) ALL GAVE AN OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN THEIR ROLES. ESPIECALLY EVE'S , SHE WORKED VERY WELL WITH JS, AD, AP, & PB, THE MALE TEAM, & THE FEMALE JC & EB. THEY ALL MADE THIS EPISODE WORTH WATCHING. A LANCER FAN.😀😍🎥💝
