Not the fun in the sun speed demon so many think they need. That's ok, wave at them as they blow by you, wave at them as they keep stopping for fuel, wave at them as you just leisurely motor around enjoying life on the water as they go blowing back to their hectic lives. Love this boat, thanks for bringing it to us.

Well I'm with you Nick . . . love that true convertible style roof. I'm not a big fan of climbing up and down to a flybridge and this eliminates that need. Also impressed with the interior layout and that stand alone shower compartment with the hidden laundry. Somebody's wife had some input there (lol). But seriously, this would be an ideal summer live-aboard for the Great Lakes Region of Canada, which can be subject to some pretty rough weather. I'd feel very comfortable and safe in this vessel. It's won a spot on my "favourites" list.

Also, the rear cabin layout is brilliant and unfortunately in the US they seems to have gone away but it offers so much more living space. This boat would be a perfect boat for the Great Loop. You had me at the Vara-Top. Nothing could match that. Then we went below decks to a sizable salon, a comfy dining area and well laid out galley. With the guests comfortably cared for in the forward quarters, seeing the owner's cabin is a delight. Sadly, you've made a title error - stating the boat is a mere 48 feet. It is obviously a sixty eight footer. NO? It's forty eight? Yeow - that is SWELL. Many thanks to all at Linssen and to you Nick, for making this video happen.

I really like the of the separation of the head and shower forward. It makes it easier for 2 cabins to share toilet and shower facilities. It seems that they used to do that more often on boats. But now seems there has to be a full bathroom for each compartment. It seems wasteful to me, especially when the whole boat doesn't seem over large.

You forgot to mention that the whole installation where the roof folds into itself ALSO can be lowered. This allows for cruising through France as it lowers the draft to below 3,5m (if you lower the mast also).

Love the convertible roof! It would be a real drag (literally, aerodynamic drag) on a fast cruiser, but on something like this it's perfect! For American viewers surprised by the separate shower and toilet: that's very much a Dutch thing (don't know about other European countries). Typical Dutch homes have two water closets (toilet rooms), one downstairs and one upstairs, and then a separate room for the shower or bath with a sink upstairs.

If I had ~12 millions extra, that would be a real dream boat. It should be more ( I know...), but anyways... One thing I've been thinking about: Why is it still "standard procedure" to use lead batteries on big boats? Good quality Lithium would give much more juice for the weight...

I like the layout very much and the roof I've got to say I'm with you on that one Mr Burnham sir 🤗 plenty of room plenty of storage, I always like the splitting of the shower and toilet seems more practical to me. My only downside on this one for me would be the speed, but that's only because I'd feel more comfortable with the ability to out run the weather for example I have no problems with normal operation at lower speeds. Again Nick thank you for a great tour ❤️ Aquaholics as ever keep up with the good work sir 👌🖖

Beautiful boat, but in this day and age not being able to take advantage of the wind, is madness. Don’t know how to sail? Learn. It’s not that hard, and you travel for free. Gasoline or petrol is through the roof. Diesel at least in the US is almost gone. And Wind is… free. Btw love your watches! 😉

Nice boat, but I still think Elling e4 which is exact same size at this boat is better boat. ofc. if the money is not an issue, the E6 is even better than E4. All Elling boats are Self-Righting hull, which make them much safer. and they have much longer range. and they have Kevlar built in the hull, so it won´t sink, even if you hit rocks or concrete.

You people and your glorious manes able to enjoy that 'wind in your feeling hair'. I guess this is not the boat for me and my shiny head, sadly. LoL Otherwise, it is a brilliant boat. I was wondering if anyone built real boats like this - essentially an explorer yacht, but one that is made for real coastal exploration and inland river navigation with comfort and long-range in mind. I can't think of a boat that I would be more comfortable with in having that dual purpose in mind. I am sure there is, and I am sure that eventually you will show us Nick, but this seems like the best fit for anyone wanting to explore both coasts and rivers for months at a time.

The separate shower room, which I've seen on quite a few boats, is definitely an efficient use of space for a nice sized shower, but what do you do with your dry clothes & towel? @janentomenkafka

Hi Stephen, I am pretty there's a fridge and freezer. However, both are probably not that big. A typical owner of such a boat is retired and spends half the year on his boat. But... most owners mainly sail the inland waters. European rivers and canals connect Amsterdam with Berlin, Brussels, Paris, the mediterranean, and so on. They spend months on their boat but there's usually a town or city within half a day asiling. Even if they go coastal a harbour is never far away.
