I just wish that James Stacy's life could have been filled with as much joy and happiness as he gave to us. I will always love James Stacy ❤ 4ever. He was a great actor.

Bonanza is overrated. The characters are not nearly as developed as the characters in Lancer. As well, it is realistic that Johnny and Scott, both capable with a gun and their fists, get kicked around a little bit sometimes.

So true, and I am a Bonanza fan, found that out after I started watching Lancer, Lancer is way more realistic, I can watch Lancer episodes over and over, James Stacey my favorite, the gun fighter who came back to his heritage, his dad and brother and Lancer, his attire alone, most authentic cowboy, cows walking around the ranch, cowhands working the ranch, just way more western scenery ! Superb acting from Lancer Cast !

Mighty tough, being a child in California those days. If Lancer is any guide, nobody under twelve had a complete set of parents. If your mother was still alive, you didn't know who your father was.

Scott was just as gorgeous Johnny. But never got the flashy shirts like Johnny. I was so in love with Johnny as a little girl I never noticed how good looking Scott was & how well he rode a horse and sat so straight on a horse !! WOW glad it's on You Tube now !!!!

I am a Bonanza fan, but I find this show more realistic, the ranch alone way more realistic then the Ponderosa !

You do? Well, of course....there were the two (grown up!) sons, one of them unattractiv, fat and not the brightest candle on the cake, the other one, in reality a boozer, always on the verge to tears and both bleating devotely "yes, pa" whenever they got an instruction from their almighty father. You naturally can't compare them with the two Lancer boys, who were not only partners in the ownership of the ranch but gave their father more headwind in one episode than Ben Cartwright got in all shows together. 😜 O.k., tastes are different. I hold it with Pernell Roberts, the eldest Cartwright son: he left the show because of this unrealistic, stupid behavier of grown up men.
