for simple shock spacers like the ones shown you can resize them in your slicer software for custom sizes. for example, if you scale the height of the 2mm spacer by 125% it will be a 2.5mm spacer and so on

I prefer the Mod19 ultra-low CG front tray and links. His upper link provides extra clearance so the driveshaft doesn’t bind, the front of the receiver tray is relieved for better servo clearance, and the multi-height front shock mount is also useful. The Deadbolt version also lengthens the front links just enough to improve servo clearance for the popular EMax servo.

When I did this video, that option was not available. I recently noticed it. I might print one out and see.

There are 3d printed flex blades available that are supposed to help with greater articulation of the rear shocks!

I’ve seen the link to those links on the scx24 mods page! Amazing clearance. Can you share which 3D printer you got? Thanks, Scott

Hi Scott, the high clearance links are a huge performance upgrade, and should be very high on their upgrade list. The beauty of it is that while it maintains the same ride height and center of gravity, the clearance improves significantly. In order to achieve the same clearance on stock links, you would have to raise the chassis, but that increases the center of gravity. As for 3d printer, I picked up Ender 3 V2 at my friend's recommendation. So far, I am quite happy with it.

That’s definitely high on the list and by the sound of it so is the 3D printer you mentioned. The last time I was checking those out was around 2012 and they were well over £1000 for anything worth having. So that’s what I’ll be asking Santa for 😄 By the way your Enduro videos have proved an issue as I’ve had to buy the Trailwalker RTR! (Sendero not available). It’s a great hobby especially with COVID lockdown in the Uk. Just awaiting the GSpeed v3 kit as we speak! Haha can’t wait!
@BigSungHobbies

The joys of the hobby :) By the way, I would recommend the Trailwalker over Sendero, so you did good. They are basically the same except for more useful body and bumpers and at a lower cost. Most of us upgrade the wheels and tires, so the smaller tires on Trailwalker is non-issue.

My SCX24 comes in today. Appreciate the video. Dumb question but what do preload spacers do?
@BigSungHobbies

Congrats! It helps to shorten the length of the shock. It might sound counter-intuitive, but I have found that it's not all about flex.

There was supposed to be a link that worked for jeep/c10. I couldn’t find it either. I heard on the forums that you can modify the file so that it works for us, but that is beyond my grasp of 3d printing. A friend graciously gave me the hc links, but I believe he paid for the files. Sorry I can’t be more of help.

Is there a esc mount for the rear? The lcg battery tray moves the battery to the front right?
@BigSungHobbies
3 жыл бұрын
The idea is to remove weight from the rear to help in redistributing the weight. I use 2 sided tape to mount them in between the chassis rails. I have couple of videos that talk about it and show you how it is done so take a look at them.
