Beautiful detail painting on the Ejector seats and IP, really makes the pit pop. Excellent craftsmanship on the flaps and slats. Ab cans and smoke for flares came out spot on. AND WE HAVE LIGHTS! Very well weathered, she sits at rest perfectly. Love the "Night shots", especially with the engines lit! Beautiful bird! Congrats!

It took me a while, this one, The seats were an inspired buy, they turned out great, overall, revell kits are quite cheap, but a lot of work is needed to bring them to life. I'm about to embark on a ' stash buying spree ' any requests will be appreciated, May even try a couple of sci fi kits. Thanks again Bob.

@@clonefox80 I'm not a jet fan, props only. But, If your out trying to build a stash. How about the Vintage fighter series 1/24th P-47 "Bubbletop"{not Kinetic}. I'm suggesting this because this kit can be a bit vexing. Poor fit, missing rivets and a bit of a pain, flap/wing fitment. So with your talent, what the heck - Rescue the big beast. You've already built my favorite {F-4}. So that's why I'm suggesting the P-47.

@@clonefox80 Just got your message {it's 11pm here in Ct.} If you do a "Razorback" I'd suggest Maj. Robert S. Johnson's {56th FG 62 FS}mount "Penrod & Sam" P47 D-21RE { RE designates it was built in Long Island, NY} LM Q squadron code. 27 kills, first USAAF pilot in the ETO to break Eddie Rickenbacker's score from WWI OF 26. Silver fuse, red cowling, yellow rudder, no invasion stripes Hamilton Standard 13'3" prop, center line shackles and wing pylons, serial # on vert stab 225512{ black in color} Color profile in 56th FG {Osprey pub.}. He left the ETO in May '44. OR if you go with a "Bubbletop" "OH JONNIE" flown by Lt. Raymond Knight 350th FG, 346FS. He's the only P-47 fighter pilot to receive the Medal of Honor in the ETO {posthumously}. His mount was a P-47D-27RE. Hamilton Standard 13'3" prop. NO HVAR STUBS. Cowling has 6D then 5 on the front of the fuse, directly after end of cowling. Black & white checker pattern on rudder only. Serial # on vert stab 226785 {yellow numbers}. Mount does wear hubcaps {silver} OD fuse, neutral gray belly. BUT, I've also have pics of the plane with upper & lower natural metal wings OD Fuse, neutral gray belly. You'll probably get better pics on line then I'll be able to send you. "OH JONNIE" is on the cover of "ACES OF THE MTO" Osprey pub. Have you picked out the scale yet? I've got the old "Vintage Fighter series" "Bubble top" kit in 1/24th scale, I wouldn't miss that. Plus I've got plenty of Trumpeter 1/32nd scale "Razors" & "Bubbles" hanging around. I could spare you one, I even have 1/32nd decals for "OH JONNIE" I can spare. I figure you paint on most of the insignias, I'm starting that myself. But stencils can be a pain. Let me know, I'll be happy to send you whatever you need. - Bob

@@bobdyer422 I don't have the kit yet, bit I was planning on the bubble top' in 1/32. Sounds like you have a P47 paradise there Bob,if you are willing to part with one, o would gladly pay for the shipping, as I live in the UK which would not be cheap. I like the idea of a metal look for her, I see a few with the air race markings, all gleaming. Let me know about the kit, and I will email my mailing address to you. Just finished converting the largest kit I've made so far, Su27UB - Su30MKM Russian to Malaysian. The video is up, I know it's not your thing, but it's worth a look. Hope to hear from you soon. Nick.

Having worked on the Gr1 And F3 of these tonkas i have to admit it's a pretty impressive model particularly like the reheat lights brought back lots of lovely memories i can pick out one minor point that throws the model a bit it's at the back of the wing where the wing flaps would go into fuselage. the wing seal bags upper and lower bag on each side were inflatable heavy duty fabric covered and would always close as they were pressurised so whatever position the wing was in there would not be a gap. but apart from that you've done a lovely job well done deffo chocolate medal time! xHelen

Holy Cow that's a serious build list. "SERIOUS" my friend. heh, heh. The P-47 is one my all-time faves - bubble top or razorback... don't matter, I love em' both. The Bronco...Well, I'm sure it'll be a sight to see alright. Never even heard of one in 1/32. I'm really looking forward to that one. So much to contemplate. Curious to which one you'll do first. I'll shoot u an E-mail for the tunes. thanks bro.

Awesome build. I'm just getting back into it having been out of the kit building game for a good number of years. I've only got one small criticism. (And this is probably only bugging me as my day job is as a rampy so I'm around aircraft every day) your wingtip Nav lights - they should be red and green, not blue, and that's part of CAA, FAA/TSA, CISF, CASA, ICAO, IATA regulations, irrespective of whether it's a civilian or military aircraft, the lights on the side of the engine intakes should be the red and green as well. The only other thing is the top and underside anti-collision strobes, they should be white on the Tornado, not red. Those small points aside, fantastic work.

Great job, just a quick question on the seats, I have the same ones, not used them before, how do you remove them from the big block? Do you have a paint chart for them? Or a guide?
@clonefox80
3 жыл бұрын
Hey there Chris, thanks for watching the video, The resin seats are best separated from the block using a modelling saw, or similar, then sand the bottom even,,,,I always do all my resin work,,cutting and sanding, whilst having them submerged in water in the sink,,this stops all the dust, which is a harmful thing. For painting them, I just Google the seat and click images. Good luck with your tornado.👌
