This is the final Part, before the paint job, on the 'Hobby Boss' 1/35 Leopard 2 AVLB.
Here we show the dimensions, the weight (unpainted) and the possibility of extending the bridge forward ahead of the laying arm. I will also show how the bridge "stacks UP" when in the traveling (transport) configuration.
But, sadly, the bridge is T O O Heavy!! Even while unpainted the Main piston on the Velegrarm was not very supportive and with the bridge being over 2.5 feet long, there was NO Way ( at least with the completed model ) of actually getting this bridge to hold straight out!! Also, sadly, the Auxillary Arm will not fit pass the laying arm and the bridge rack (& pinion).
Lastly, the paint job.....since I have Already painted the base coat of NATO Green ( which used 1.5 jars of 23ml 'Tamiya' paint for both the tank and the bridge ) the decision is coming up whether I paint it in 1) Just NATO Green, 2) NATO tri-color camoflauge , or 3) a Ukrainian camoflauge (!!!) Personally, I would like to paint it the #3 as a dedication of the MANY Ukrainian people fighting for their Lives and Independence....but I would like to get your opinion about it. I will be posting, in early April, a poll on what you would like to see, I will be voting Once but would like Your opinion as well.
