Man, that is a TON of work you have done with the PE. I purchased all 5 PE packs for my ship LOL. Your camera filming is great showing all the close up details of the ship, and the cabling . its too bad the PE of those nets are so fragile and break easily, and all the extra work to fix it. elevator decks and weathering look great! 3 weeks it took you to complete the PE? it will take me 6 months if I am lucky, can't wait for the next update! stay safe.

That is a lot of photoetch. I can relate with you about how fragile it all is. Those areas in your catwalks that they are telling you to place hose reels but seem to be too narrow, its because there NEVER were hose reels there. Forward of the Island there was a fuel station but it was under the flight deck it wouldn't be visible. I believe that there was another on the port side too. Check the drawing of the flight deck I made it shows all the visible fuel stations. They never added more during the life of the ship. It looked like you have them all covered. Those safety nets are difficult to make with 2 dimensional photoetch sheets. On the real ship the frame sticks out horizontally. There are supports underneath that angle from the outside frame back to the hull or to a support structure like at the stern. The net is tied to the horizontal frame but it sags down. Most photoetch representing this is simply a flat piece you attach horizontally to the ship. It isn't realistic but it's better than the original plastic on the model. Eduard's idea places the nets at an angle and has you put the struts horizontal to the ship. Maybe a little better visually. In real life they get bent here and there too. I wouldn't sweat the mistakes because the overall look is really nice. The flat piece at the stern is a bomb skid. During the 1969 fire they had problems getting hot live ordnance off the ship and so they added several bomb slides that could be rigged whenever live ordnance was in use. Those ports on the Bow were there to run the forward mooring lines when the ship is tied pier side. Your almost there it looks absolutely fantastic.
