Guesseppe REA trains with the Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club Regional Training Center, located in Bethelehem, Pennsylvania. Rea is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, where he is a three-time Ecuador freestyle national champion and five-time Ecuador World Team Trials medalist (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023). He was a 2021 Senior World Team member at 57 kg and earned a top 10 ranking in the world.
Rea was a collegiate student-athlete from 2013-2017 at Wilkes University; located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He was a four-year starter and earned NCAA Division 3 All-America honors in 2015 at 125lbs weight class. Rea registered a 121-29 career record, ranking first in the Wilkes’ record book for all-time victories in school history. Rea was ranked top 10 throughout his career and as high as No. 2 at 125lbs in the NWCA individual rankings.
Rea was an assistant coach at his alma mater in 2017-18 and played a major role in developing the lightweights, including 133lbs NCAA Division-3 national champion Matthew Grossmann.
Rea is now the Mens’ assistant wrestling coach for Muhlenberg College; located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Darian CRUZ trains with the Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club Regional Training Center, located in Bethelehem, Pennsylvania. Cruz currently is a volunteer assistant coach on the Lehigh University Wrestling Team; located in Bethelehem, Pennsylvania.
Cruz had previously represented he United States in international competition. He made the United States National Team in freestyle wrestling following a runner-up finish at 57kg at the 2019 United States World Team Trials Tournament.
Cruz began representing Puerto Rico as a freestyle wrestler in 2022. Cruz earned the 57kg weight class quota for Puerto Rico for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics during the 2024 Pan-American Olympic Qualifier, depicted in this video.
In his time as a collegiate student-athlete for Lehigh University, Cruz amassed a 120-20 career record with 61 bonus point victories. His 120 career wins are tied for second in school history.
The 2016-17 season was memorable for Cruz, who went 31-2, won his second straight EIWA title and then became Lehigh’s 28th individual national champion. Cruz scored an overtime upset win over top seed Thomas Gilman of University of Iowa in the semifinals before avenging an early season loss to University if Minnesota’s Ethan Lizak with a 6-3 decision in the NCAA Division-1 National Championship finals. Cruz went on to be named EIWA Conference Wrestler of the Year.
Cruz was a two-time Pennsylvania state champion and finished third in the state his sophomore year for Bethlehem Catholic High School; located in Bethelehem, Pennsylvania.
