Two stroke benefits alot of a good tuned pipe, because both ports are open half the time, fresh mixture gets in the exhaust, with a good tuned exhaust with good back pressure, the mixture returns into the cylinder and gets burned, without the back pressure most of the mixture gets in the exhaust and will not be burned which means less power.

This hobby is awsome. After reading some lame replies I just have to say that today people that use their hands, brains and skills are not the type that look at KZitem. Most people today think that their phone is the best creation on earth.I dig engineering and persistance to over come challanges and a scale modeler is doing just that. Cheers my freind and to more racing!!!

Wish it was mine.nice set up.. I have a 125cc rotax max engine go kart.the engine would be good for these size cars.28bhp although it would take some doing as it has a tunned exhaust pipe. The beauty of the rotax max engine is the centrefugal clutch so it would sit happly going into pre stage /to stage. Keep up the good work guys All the best from a british petrol head.

Those engines weren't designed to run with an expansion chamber. All they had was a small muffler with a couple of baffles to make them quiet. You can tune these quite easily to run with a straight pipe. All 2 strokes don't have to have expansion chambers to run better or give them more power.

Is so cool, and scale jack stands too along with all the rest of the dead on scale parts on the car. I've seen quite a few of these but never have I seen one run with a remote-actually drive it. But with the price tag on them, I wouldn't want to run it as hard as my elec. (lower budget) RC cars....Very nice car, it sounds and looks great! ...If you know of a video of anything with a engine like this one (similar), or a Conley V8 in a car driving it please let me know, or if you do any more up-dates on yours, Thanks.

2 strokes don't spit out oil as bad as Nitro engines do.
+DIED12 TheKZitemGamer actually I do. Coming from the one with the name of KZitem gamer My uncle is a supplier of parts for all types of dragster and funny cars including pro mods, alcohol dragsters, nitro funny cars, nitro dragsters, and alcohol funny cars and he teaches me everything about the engines and nitro burns so quick that it burns and is turned into a gas and nothing is left behind like oils or greases. Go ahead if you would like and talk more crap if you would like to look like an idiot any further than you are now

I used to build racing chainsaws... We raise the exhaust port about 2-3 mm lower the intake the same (2-3mm to taste) build a tune pipe add a bigger carb and jets and increase the area of the transfer ports.. ( ie weld up the outside of the cyl at transfer local and grindem bigger from the inside.. The engines turned so hard we started blowing the cyls off the bases, the fix was to machine the top off a new cyl and through bolt a billet head on to it.. theres a whole bunch more power to b had

That, I don't know. Although I'm more than familiar with 2-stroke motorcycle engines, my best guess would be it's a tuned length?. For a motorcycle, I'd use an expansion with divergent/convergent and a stinger for bleed off, but these aren't motorcycles. Tuned for a specific rev range like a weed-whacker perhaps?. Dunno, not my area.

Oh, one last thing so i dont have to hear it lol Yes the Boaters with the highly modified weedeater engines in them do use expansion chambers, they are single cone IE on RPM chambers. So yes, if you want to have all your power @ a given RPM, then you will see gains with chambers on Nitro engins. And YES, you could build tripple cone pipes as well, if you know which 3 powerbands are the most benificial to you. If I have missed anything, and your qualified, no really, then by all means, reply on!!

even a plain pipe workds as a resonator like a chamber to a degree, when the pulse leaves the end of pipe it resonates etc, u should try different lengths still, maybe make an adjustable pipe? telescopic.

Okay, I understand people complaining about the lack of a pipe and the music, but why are people complaining he isn't running it? The title says "build." If I see a video titled with the word "build" i expect to see a build and nothing else. Technically you got more than you asked for because "start up" was not in the title. That's like going to a McDonalds and expecting to get Burger King. Idiots.

I think the point he's trying to make, is if he put that much effort into something with an engine and wheels he'd rather be sitting in it to drive not using a RC remote. And no, there's nothing in the title about it being an RC vehicle... the only "RC" you read is in part of the description. On what site to go to for info. So his comment really isn't "stupid".

madjimms I'm assuming mostly cost was that reason. Those things are cool but I don't think I'd buy one for 8,000 dollars. Also they have practically the same amount of power as a chainsaw motor anyway but the chainsaw motor is so much cheaper and easier to work with it's just a much better choice. That's what I assume made that decision, I wouldn't know for sure.
