How are you able to put gloss varnish on so thick without it cracking? Everytime I do that, I ruin my model. Yours looks amazing!
@MMScaleModels
6 жыл бұрын
+Ian Vaughan Hi, the gloss looks thick on video but it is actually very diluted. Maybe the fact that I use only cellulose based varnishes and MLT also helps.

Ian Vaughan Every time I put gloss varnish on my previous attempts they came out like an ancient oil painting. I've learnt over the years about diluting lol.

@@MMScaleModels thank you for the reply. Subd to your channel as well. Can you do a tutorial on filling "Very Fine Seam Lines" ? I'm having a bit if trouble on the airfix 1/72 curtis tomahawk mkII b. It's got a few minor and fine seam lines. First ever airfix kit, and well do they always have these issues?

Mmm a bit hap hazard really, don't get me wrong it's ok but I think it's lacking in detail a little bit. Especially the cock pit and engine. Well the engine I guess was the let down... just a couple of wires added here and there.... I would have added so much more, you know made it a bit more realistic!!!

In his defence though, you don't see anything on the sides of the engine. My opinion is his engine was a perfect balance of what you will see and what you won't.
