Thank you for this. I just got mine on the 8th. I also have low density fine hair. I can’t wait to see them transform.

They definitely will. It wasn't until after a year I felt like they started fluffing. I'm enjoying the journey!

Beautiful style. I have my appointment at the end of the month I'm so excited to start my journey. . Question how long was your natural hair when you first went for your install? and what is the length you cut them to now is it about 14". Thanks so much for your time and videos. :)

I love your hair and the cut looks great! I'm sure it'll help your hair as it matures and the weight isn't weighing down your strands.

I would honestly not recommend Belle Microlocs, and I was a former stan. My slippage was insane, as was the line of demarcation between the locs and my natural hair. They only recently offered to redo, but that was after over a year of complaining - and only after my google review. Your hair looks good, and so much healthier now that the weight of the Belles have been cut off.

Thank you for your honest comment!! That sucks they didn't work out for you. I haven't had a ton of slippage but definitely a few. I definitely understand the line of demarcation issue. I do have that issue in the areas that are thinner but I likely would have that with any extention because of the low density. I'm glad she finally decided to make it right for you. That was the right thing to do. Eventually I'll probably remove the extension completely but right now I enjoy the ombre look.

Glad I found your story as I was considering Belles but I think I may just go with my own hair. I also have very fine strands along with sensitive parameter around the scalp edges so I can see my hair dropping out due to the extra weight even if its very slight. My edges do the most.🤦🏽♀️

Are your extensions 2 strand twisted onto your natural hair and then interlocked at the roots or are they crocheted onto your natural hair ? Did you have any bunching or shrinkage with the extensions added to your natural hair as many without extensions have had to braid and band to try and avoid getting? I was told that adding instant/crocheted extensions to the ends of new loc’s should stop the need to braid and band. I’m looking forward to learning of your experience! My extensions were instant locked/crocheted onto my natural hair which allowed me to avoid all of the woes of new loc’s and all the benefits of having mature looking loc’s from the day of installation.

The extension was started with a braid and then two strand twisted. I haven't noticed much if any shrinkage or bunching. I don't have to braid or band at all.

@@starrbeauty8019 thank you for sharing your experiences and story. I’m planning to open my own salon specializing in retightening loc’s of all types. Extensions will be available as well! What is your loc count and your hair looks great!

Do you find that your hair is much thinner than where the extension starts? That's a problem I'm having with my Belle microloc braids
@starrbeauty8019

Yes in some places but I was told even if I started my regular hair with Twists the interlocked part would always appear thinner

I need help!😭😭I really want to start my microloc journey with extensions. I found an African braiding shop that is close to my house and they are offering an affordable price for installing micro twists with human hair added in. So far they are the most affordable compared to locticians I’m finding for microloc extensions. Do you think it’s worth it to get micro twists installed from the braiding shop near me and allow that to be my starter loc? Could I then just start reties with a loctician at that point?
@starrbeauty8019

Hello! Yes once you get them installed anyone can do the reties.

Are you still doing the 2 point rotation. Thanks
@starrbeauty8019
Жыл бұрын
I alternate between two and 4 because a lot of my new growth grows outside the loc so with the 4 point I can catch all strands. I do one 4 point and then 2 points until I'm at the root.
