This video helps put into perspective how MASSIVE Yamato and her sister ship, Musashi were. Very impressive and great video. 👍

Great build and love the deck cleaning additions to bring it to life. One minor point, the door on the rear of the turret has been hinged on the wrong side, the hinge side is on the left and latches on the right to allow the crew to enter/exit from the ladder. I’m sure it will be easy to rectify though :)
Fantastisch...Großartig...Beeindruckend...liebe Grüsse aus Deutschland (Germany)

Beautiful model, well done. One problem I noticed was the rear turret door is hinged the wrong way. It should swing on the left side hinges, the way is is now you would not be able to enter or exit to the ladder to it's right.
36:40 the rear door of the gun should open to left side, not to the right, because as in this model the door opening obstructs acess to ladder.

I have seen a few of your build blogs now - the 1/350 Akagi was absolutely fantastic and your talent with photoetch is irrefutable...your 32 scale zero is a brilliant piece of plastic model kit assembly, painting, weathering and finishing, even your 72 scale models are works of art. This project is no different Sir, I thought your adding of the figures really brought the kit to life and added that extra dimension of the modelmakers art you are becoming synonymous for. I personally do not care how accurate your work is. It's lovely to look at, and that's all I care about. I applaud you and your work Sir! A fantastic channel and really beautiful work! Please keep going!

When I think of 1:72 scale I think ‘small’ . Could you imagine the size of the full Yamato in 1:72 scale. Just the turret is one of the largest 1:72 scale model I have ever seen. Beautifully done, the 1:72 scale tanks I used to build would fit in the palm of my hand.

That is a lot of plastic, I wonder if they would make it in 1/35th scale, now that would be huge. Lovely job, Sir, you brought this kit to life in your most excellent modelling style.

Wow. Just wow. so large, and yet so intricately detailed. As an afterthought, I like how the diorama shows the crew going about their duties. (As I believe it was once said, the Imperial Navy worked eight days a week.) Fantastic project.
