Hi Cody and Michelle, Love your garden, farm, animals, and family. For the loofah plant, the fruits (seeded) can actually be eaten when they are soft and green. Slice them and sauté with some butter and salt or add some to chicken soups. They are delicious, sweet, and very flavorful. Once they are brown and tough, then they will turn into loofahs. You do have one of the most beautiful gardens! Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

We love your channel. I aspire to have a garden like yours. It is our second summer here. We live in Texas, and I have not successfully grown tomatoes here. I definitely didn't have any trouble before we moved to this area. People say it's the heat. Its always hot in Texas. We moved from Central Texas to Northwestern Texas. So, it's not a big change. We have blossoms, but they wither and fall off. My herbs are growing like crazy. We definitely have lots to learn. Thanks for sharing, and any tips would be appreciated.

@@mmccaskill55 yeah, I don’t bother with bush beans but a trellis of pole beans will produce a lot of beans that are easy to reach. I like the rattlesnake beans as well. I also like yard long beans which I wasn’t sure I liked at first.

Question: ive got a small garden, so i take in small amounts of produce at a time, should i just refrigerate it until i get enough to blanch and then freeze? And do I need to blanch everything before freezing? ( green beans, carrots, sweet peas) thanks in advance!!! Your garden looks beautiful ❤. Hope this isn't a stupid question...lol
@wombatstriker
3 ай бұрын
Hi. I'm not them, but in my personal experience, you can refrigerate green or wax beans for a few days (I personally try to stay under a week, maybe like 4 or 5 days, but I don't know what the actual "limit" is) until you build up a batch then blanch them. I had beans up into April this year that I blanched and they were still good. The consistency is wrong for beans if you just freeze them. I do normally just freeze carrots though. I'm afraid I don't have any advice for sweet peas, I've never grown those. Hopefully that helped at least a little.
