Not to mention a few minor other issues such as PTSD and I've been kicked off and still fighting to get it back but due to the kick off I got an over payment. So no attorney will help me because no money to get due to the overpayment. I've lost an inch in height in the past year and can barely can stand leaning over sink to wash a few dishes. I went infront of ALJ when they took my disability. He said i was pleasant when spoken to and that was about it. Deny. They give to great actors! Is all i can say.

However, I have missed more days than I can count from work, but they have come to see that I am very sickly. They keep giving me chances, because when I am there I do my absolute best, but I haven't been able to put in a full forty hours in a very long time. So, what is the damn deal here? I have proof that I am not able to get through forty hours. What next? Another turn down??? They expect you pay money in, but they decide whether you get it when you know you need it??? This isn't true at all. In other words, it may very well be the most common condition people get ssdi with, but it's also super commonly denied. Judges don't consider fibromyalgia a serious issue. So for every one person with fibro who gets ssdi, you've probably got 20 or 30 who got denied. The reason it's likely #1, is simply the sheer volume of applicants with musculoskeletal issues. But if you look at the acceptance rate by condition, I guarantee fibromyalgia has one of the lowest acceptance rates
@TheDisabilityDigest
Ай бұрын
It's true that fibromyalgia can be challenging to get approved for SSDI because it is often difficult to prove with objective medical evidence, and many judges may not view it as seriously as other conditions. This results in a high denial rate for applicants with fibromyalgia. The condition is subjective and can be hard to quantify in terms of work limitations, which leads to skepticism in the disability approval process. However, persistence, thorough medical documentation, and legal representation can improve the chances of getting SSDI approval for those suffering from fibromyalgia. Thanks for your insights!

It's so disturbing. There are so many people collecting money on welfare and they don't contribute anything, yet hard working people get punished. They reward the wrong people. Then strong physical people like us get compared to weak people that never did hard labor They compare your grip or strengths to the weak people. So of course you look strong enough and they barely do a real test. It's disturbing and pathetic and I'm so sorry for your struggle ❤❤ .

I'm truly sorry to hear about the challenges you've faced. It's important to remember that while I can provide guidance and resources, I'm not a lawyer and cannot provide legal advice or representation. Given that you've been trying to get approved for Disability or SSI, SSDI for more than 6 years, it's likely that your credits to qualify for a Social Security Disability check have expired. The next step would be to confirm if you still qualify for an SSDI check by contacting the Social Security Administration (SSA). If you do still qualify, the information and events we provide would be ideal for you. If you no longer qualify for a check, you will still find value in our information to help you obtain SSI. I just applied for ss disability I'm 48 have not been able to work for a 1yr now due to having SVT SUPRAVENTRICULAT TACACARDIA. I had the cardiac oblation surgery but the electrocardiologist was only able to oblation 85 percent of the tissue that's causing me to spontaneously go into atrial fiberlation. If he oblation anymore of the tissue it can damage my heart and would require a pacemaker. I opted out of a second surgery so I'm on beta blocker mens that try to keep my heart in rhythm. But the meds don't work most of the time and them I go into an SVT attack which leads also to panic attacks because I'm basically having a heart attack. Sometimes it lasts 5 min to 1 hr and it can happen anytime. There is nothing that triggers it. It happens when wants to anytime any day. There really is no cure for this and it's hard finding a job because of this problem. I really don't know what to do. I've been an licensed electrician for over 20 years and that's all I know. Do you have any advice that you can give me? I would much appreciate it.

Thank for the contribution. You're absolutely right. Qualifying for Social Security Disability benefits involves more than just having a medical condition. It's about demonstrating to the Social Security Administration (SSA) that your condition significantly limits your ability to work and perform basic activities of daily living. This is why it's so important to provide detailed, accurate information about your condition and how it affects your daily life. It's not just about the diagnosis, but about the impact of that diagnosis on your ability to function. To help you navigate this process, I recommend watching this video about the disability approval process: kzitem.info/news/bejne/lIxmtJ2VeoiebIo.

@@TheDisabilityDigest thx. I'm 10 years and 5 attys in, unfortunately. The trouble is before filing not one attorney would give me the time of day. Each of the ones who worked case over the years had different levels of involvement but unless you find a good, thorough, informative one long before DLI you are SOL. Hopefully others won't have the same experience if they start out well informed.

Does learning disability qualify?
@TheDisabilityDigest
27 күн бұрын
Yes, a learning disability can potentially qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), but it depends on the severity of the disability and how it impacts your ability to work. The Social Security Administration (SSA) will consider factors such as the nature and severity of your disability, your age, education, past work experience, and any transferable skills you might have. It's important to provide as much medical evidence as possible to support your claim, including detailed records from your doctors and specialists. This can help the SSA understand how your learning disability affects your ability to perform work-related activities. For more information about qualifying for SSDI with a learning disability, I recommend watching this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/l5mnm3-PiZx1ZGU. If a truck driver can’t pass the federally mandated DOT physical because he flunks the hearing test he should automatically get disability. It’s the government telling him he can’t do his job anymore.

I have fibromyalgia
@TheDisabilityDigest
9 ай бұрын
Hi there! If you're wondering if you qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits with fibromyalgia, I understand how important it is to have clarity on this matter. As an expert in Social Security Disability Benefits, I'm here to provide you with some guidance. Fibromyalgia can be a challenging condition to qualify for disability benefits. It does have specific diagnostic tests increases the approval probability. To determine if you qualify for SSDI benefits, it's important to consider the following: Medical Evidence: You will need to provide medical evidence from acceptable medical sources that support your fibromyalgia diagnosis and the severity of your symptoms. This can include medical records, doctor's notes, test results, and any other relevant documentation. Functional Limitations: It's crucial to demonstrate how your fibromyalgia symptoms limit your ability to perform basic work activities. T his can include chronic pain, fatigue, cognitive difficulties, and other symptoms that impact your daily activities and work-related tasks. Duration of Impairment: To qualify for SSDI benefits, your impairment must be expected to last for at least 12 months or result in death. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition, but it's important to provide medical evidence that supports the expected duration of your impairment. Remember, each case is evaluated individually, and the decision to approve or deny disability benefits depends on the specific details of your medical condition and how it affects your ability to work. It may be beneficial to consult with a disability attorney or advocate who can provide personalized guidance and help you gather the necessary medical evidence to support your claim. For more information and support, I encourage you to take advantage of our free Disability Digest membership. It includes a step-by-step approval course, live support, and the opportunity to discuss representative assistance with our Advocates for higher approval odds. You can start by visiting this link: bit.ly/34wviJY. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please let me know. I'm here to help you.

As a former psych nurse, it just really irritates me when I see people get disability for depression, bipolar, or fibromyalgia. A lot of people that I have seen to get it for psych issues don’t even have severe depression.

I think its very difficult to get disability for invisible chronic pain. If someone does get it, its rare, and so I believe that they do qualify. Why are you no longer a psych nurse? And do you see many people who have gotten disability for these things? Maybe it has more to do with the state you live in if thats the case

When I first started having pain after a failed back surgery they diagnosed me as having fibro. I slept 20 hours a day every day and had the most severe pain ever. Every day i woke up it felt like I had the absolute worst hangover of my life, was up working out all night long, and had been hit with a mallet all over my body. That was what it was like to exist....for years. Fast forward 4 years and I found out I actually had lyme disease. It's a horrific disease that devestates the body and brain all at once. Dont ever think fibromyalgia is no joke, it's a label they give to a disease they dont understand. And having a disease like this will make you depressed. A lot of psych patients are really suffering from infectious diseases and probably dont know it.
