**Key Insights:** 1. The Oral-Systemic Connection: - The oral microbiome is the second largest and most diverse in the body, comprising about 50% of the gut microbiome. - "Leaky gum" syndrome, similar to leaky gut, allows bacteria to enter the bloodstream, potentially causing systemic health issues like heart problems and neuroinflammation. - Bleeding gums are a key indicator of leaky gum. 2. Diet's Role in Oral Health: - The standard Western diet, rich in processed foods, is a primary cause of oral health issues like gingivitis, periodontitis, and tooth decay. - Gluten-containing grains are pro-inflammatory and linked to leaky gut and tooth decay. - Vitamin D3 is crucial for strong teeth and bones, aiding in calcium absorption and mineralization. - Chewing hard foods helps develop jaw muscles and facial structure, similar to how breastfeeding aids initial orthodontic development. 3. Dental Procedures and Their Systemic Impact: - Amalgam fillings, while common, may contain mercury and have potential side effects. - Dry socket, a complication of tooth extraction, can lead to chronic inflammation in the jawbone. - Root canals and cavitations (areas of chronic inflammation in the jawbone) can contribute to various health issues, including rheumatoid arthritis, chronic infections, and even neurological problems. 4. Case Studies of Holistic Dental Interventions: - A patient saw improvements in rheumatoid arthritis symptoms after removal of metals, root canals, and cavitations. - Another patient experienced complete resolution of chronic nightly vomiting after root canal removal. - A case of facial paralysis and numbness was resolved following surgery to address chronic inflammation caused by multiple root canals and cysts. 5. Advanced Dentistry and Research: - There's often a significant lag time (up to 40 years) between research findings and their implementation in dental practice. - Ceramic implants, now considered the gold standard, faced criticism for over a decade before widespread acceptance. 6. EMF Exposure and Oral Health: - Electromagnetic fields from devices like cell phones and wireless earbuds may have negative health impacts. - Mitigation strategies include using low-EMF devices, wearing EMF-blocking clothing, and consuming antioxidant-rich foods. 7. Holistic Approach to Oral Hygiene: - Conventional oral hygiene products like fluoride toothpaste and antiseptic mouthwashes are seen as temporary fixes that don't address root causes. - Natural alternatives like xylitol and coconut oil pulling are suggested for balancing the oral microbiome. 8. The Importance of Proper Breathing and Jaw Development: - Mouth breathing can negatively impact jaw development and overall health. - Addressing underlying causes of mouth breathing is crucial before attempting corrective measures like mouth taping. 9. The Rise of Biological Dentistry: - Biological dentistry takes a holistic approach, considering diet, nutrient deficiencies, and systemic health in treatment plans. - There's a growing movement to establish a network of certified biological dentists to promote optimal health starting with oral care. Conclusion: The field of biological dentistry is reshaping our understanding of oral health and its profound impact on overall wellness. By recognizing the intricate connections between oral health, diet, systemic diseases, and environmental factors, this approach offers a more comprehensive and potentially more effective way to address not just dental issues, but a wide range of health concerns. As research continues to unveil the far-reaching implications of oral health, it becomes increasingly clear that the mouth is indeed a gateway to total body wellness. The future of dentistry lies in this holistic, preventative approach that considers the entire body as an interconnected system, promising better health outcomes for patients willing to embrace this revolutionary paradigm.

Early March I was on a flight to Hawaii and by the time I got off the 6 hour flight, my knees, Hips, shoulders and and fingers locked up and I was in pain. Had discomfort all day and night. Returned to family doctor and he scratched his head. 3 return trips, ultra sounds and xrays, blood tests revealed nothing. I practice Qi gong barefoot every morning as the sun comes up as well as lymphatic release exercises and stretching., practice red light therapy, Cold immersion, Intermittent fasting, no sugar for 6 weeks, no seed oils for over a year, no microwave for 6 months, only cook with cast iron and Ghee. Supplement with iodine and celtic salt in Water and coffee. eliminated all veg etc with histamine and oxilates for 6 months. Have had repeated fascia release massages and accupuncture with the electrodes hooked specific frequencies. I can say with all of this I am a little more mobile and in a little less pain over all. I am a 55 yo male with no history of anything out of normal healthwise. Having done all of this, I should be able to FLY. I have gone over diet and exposures and what has changed over the last year to lead me to this Auto immune condition. I could NOT find anything, and then BOOM, Listening to Dr. Nischwitz I recalled a root canal I had in April of this year. THe dentist failed to get all the root the first go around so I returned 2 weeks later after being in pain. It is STILL not painfree...... and then my body seizes up in March...... Hmmmmm. Not sure what to do next?

@@nathalicol402yeah mold can do it and also silent reflux isn’t an uncommon condition I’d say that may add to issues for some or make certain diets still not work that well due to refluxing.

@maxlugavere You should talk to Dome about it. He had chronic back pain that vanished when he got he's cavitation removed. I've seen many testimonials from other people saying the same thing! I think it's worth looking into. 🙂

Multiple very interesting topics of discussion. I thought it was just going to be about oral health, which I'm passionate about because I know it impacts your overall health and a good dentist you can trust is essential no matter what they tried to tell us during lockdown, but it veered off into other also interesting subjects. I appreciate a medical professional who can think outside the box based on years of actual clinical experience because the box often tends to be broken and based on bad science or no science at all.

Do the Beats flex really have low to no EMF? Can anyone confirm that?
@annalane5430
15 күн бұрын
That’s what I’d like to know, also. Can’t find any info online that confirms this. Surely this would be a major selling feature. Or not. As this feature would kill sales with all their other earphones. Most people are not even educated to know wireless earphones are so high in EMFs. Although, even if they did, they wouldn’t care. 🙄

When I go mostly carnivore my skin clears up and my body feels so much better (Crohn's, psoriasis, rosacea) . I wonder if I'm changing my mouth microbiome and that's actually what is helping.

You try to live your life doing the things that are most natural to humans, right? It seems that if you did the same for your cat, she shouldn't need her teeth brushed. Cats in nature don't have tooth brushes.

Leaky gum. But leaky bum is also a thing but this topic would more than likely be discussed by a Gastrointestinal doctor, not a dentist. 😂
