Daniel describes how Fanon’s work is located on a Möbius strip linking his conceptualizations to those of Freud, Ferenczi and Lacan. We discuss the role of speech, the trans-subjective dimension of language, the critique of relational logic, and Daniel’s thoughts on “transference work as a decolonial act”. Daniel highlights the role of the analyst as offering themselves as an object of interpretation and discusses the ethics of refusing the terms of the analysand’s (socio-political) transference.
