I planted my apple tree last year. This doing, it has blooms. Should I remove them this year?

There are some experts in the camp of removing the fruit for the first 2 years, not 1. So if the tree looks small still or only has a few flowers, take that as an indicator that it isn't strong enough yet to support fruit and remove them this year too. If it's blooming like crazy, and has shown a decent amount of growth in the last year, then it's okay to leave it.

Great tip, I finally started doing this over the last five years, I remove all blossoms the first two years and then the third year let it do its thing. I do thin some of the fruit in the third year also.
