Joining me, as always, are my guides from Kumbukumbu Tours and my friend and cameraman Tasos Karantakos.

KINYOZI BARBER SHOP: The Kibera neighborhood is the largest slum in Africa, home to over 1.2 million people. At Kinyozi, I received a haircut, face scrub, beard trim, and massage from a barber named Jackson. The cost is approximately $1 for the haircut and extra for each additional service. While Jackson worked, local children gathered around me to watch and admire the my rings and tattoos. The face scrub and massage left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The experience was made even more special by the kindness of the people and curiosity of the children.
