"You may lose your life, but you must preserve your honor". - Musashi
@Wolltazar
Жыл бұрын
this is a great philosopy but dangerous in wrong hands (looking at you Ned Stark) the more "honest to yourself" (is that the right word?) way to think would be "you may lose your life, but you must die without regret" (or at least do anything you can for not having any in the end. also dangerous, maybe even more than the original one but it is harder to achieve and can be also more powerful as I see it)
@meganeditz
Жыл бұрын
Careful... This is one of the great mistakes of the tradicional japanese culture, where to preserve the honor is more important than life. The perfect example is the harakiri: the person kills himself after make a mistake or because he thinks he doesn't diserve to live longer, then, in order to preserve honor, he has to die. We are human and we make mistakes and sometimes the chaos of life, our luck, puts us in some situations where we put on doubt or existance, but remember that no one diserves death and to commit suicide.

As I read these comments I realize it’s a lot more people in this world than I thought that still have a code, a creed, and a desire to be greater men/women. The way of a Samurai goes so much further than just a Japanese Samurai sword and how to wield it. Are you unyielding on your path as a warrior?

Was listening to this as I was sitting down outside for a while when it 60 degrees outside and I was just thinking of everything I’ve experienced in life and how much I’ve learned from every mistake I made in life and because of those mistakes I took time to acknowledge my mistakes and become a better person from those mistakes and how much I’ve matured as a person a human being a child from God. I was also thinking how nice it would be to just live with Poofy my brother and somewhere where it’s just all grass a nice comforting home with no technology and simply just live a simple life with no problems no issues do no bad desires. Just a calm fun happy life with my Poofy.

All humans want is a calm peaceful life. Pleasure, love, kindness, prosperity, and so forth. It is in our human nature to want such things. Yet you look around in the world and all you see is greed, jealousy, hatred, anger, sadness, evil, and the list goes on. The answer for this is Sin. We all want pleasure and happiness so we aim for money, women, drugs, etc, because we know it can bring us pleasure and happiness. We think money and relationships with other people will fulfill our need for pleasure and happiness, but it doesn’t. Maybe it works for a bit, but all is temporary. People become bitter and jealous when they see other people thriving but them, they ask themselves why aren’t they thriving like them. People get hurt either verbally or physically, so people build up on that and hatred is born, evil is born. I’m just explaining a few things as far as I know. But to fulfill this need, this emptiness, this hole we feel that is always there, is through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the creator of our lives, he made us in his image. Without him we feel unfulfilled, think about a person growing up without parents. That’s how it is like growing up without Jesus. Jesus knows us, he sees us, whether at our lowest moments or happiest, he sees us. Jesus our father loves us, he knows our pain, our struggle. He says if you just turn to him he will give you rest, love, peace, and joy. He said blessed are the broken hearted for they will be comforted, blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. He said “come to me all who are weary for I will give you rest”. It might seem like a fairy tale but I tell you my friends it is not. Jesus said “blessed are those who haven’t seen me yet believe”. Jesus loves you, he’s the author of your lives, he sets free all the oppressed. Read your bibles my friends, we try to seek love and happiness in the wrong places, but all it gives us is more pain. If we just gave our lives to Jesus, there would be no more suffering. He sets free from depression, from anxiety, from addiction, from anger and hate. Trust in him because our lord Jesus Christ is righteous in all his ways, he wants the best for his children. He’s the author of our life so if we just gave him control over our life, if we just surrendered and gave him the wheel, everything would turn out fine. He knows our needs before we even pray to him. If he’s the author of our life and loves us and wants the best for us why wouldn’t we give our life to him, why wouldn’t why surrender. I think today and everywhere people try to be their own gods, and try to be independent from god. They say they’re the ones that put food on the table, that their the ones that bought everything they have with hard work, they said they did and not god. But I tell you without god they wouldn’t even be alive, that’s how merciful and loving he is. To grant someone life and bless them even though they don’t see it and are blinded by their ignorance and ego. Our life is like a book, either we write our own ending or we let Jesus THE AUTHOR write and finish it. There’s millions of testimonies of Jesus saving people, of Jesus bringing prosperity and blessings upon them. Give your life to Jesus. You tried drugs, you tried sex, you tried money, but it doesn’t work to fulfill this need, only Jesus can do that. He loves you, I advise you to purchase a Bible and read it as much as you can, to soak up all the words and to pray to out father who art in Heaven. Cry out to him, ask for forgiveness, repent. Ask him to help you and fullfill you. If you cannot purchase a Bible there’s an app for that, I advise you to go to church, a Christian church or pentecostal church. If you can’t go to a church there’s thousands of sermons online, whether on KZitem or website. Not only is there sermons but also testimony’s. God has a calling for you.. are you gonna pick up?

I was always tought that depression and anxiety are nothing but childish hallusinations, my mind chanced after 30-45 days of suffering with major dep. releated to my studies. so much on me as always. before these days i could lie to myself and trick myself to study but years of boredom and sadness collapsed on me as soon as i just started to get some emotioan feelings. it wasnt possible to hold anymore. i am broken from my soul to my neck and lungs. i am seeking my way out by looking to future but not (day)dreaming about it. just working on it. these useles toughts were annoying. they were especially there when i was trying to sleep, just saying useless stuff telling me nonsense dreams... but i am lucky to be abel to make them shut up when ever i wanted but it was hard to just want them to shut up. i believe that forgiving myself and people around me has helped me a lot! i was meditating back then so it was not so hard to catch a breath with myself and sort my problems. i alwas think myself as an old man meditating next to a waterfall. before forgiving i always felt a disconnect with that old man with a pain in my lungs. after that i was relieved. thats it sorry for the bad eng. i just wanted to share that depressions is not something you should ignore :) bye
