Jordan Dansereau Actually, I wanna clarify something. I didn't really know about SlipKnoT until after Paul died, but I still recognized how awful it must've been for SlipKnoT and Paul's family. As the years passed and I started to listen to SlipKnoT more and more, I really started to appreciate Paul. It's easy for bands to say how awesome their fallen comrades are, but I can tell SlipKnoT aren't exaggerating when they say how loving Paul was. They'll never be the same without Paul, but the very essence of SlipKnoT will always exist..... R.I.P Paul

Perhaps, but then again, we might never know for sure. Joey's out of the picture, Paul's dead, and they still put out a #1 album using a different rhythm section, so I don't know if "regret" is the right word to use. if the band can carry on and continue to enjoy a certain level of success with album and concert ticket sales, there might not be any regret to speak of. For a monster drummer like Joey to get kicked out of a band he founded, one can only conclude he must've committed a major fuck-up to get to that point. It might have been something that was building for a while for all we know, and the rest of Slipknot got to the point where they couldn't look the other way anymore. I'm willing to bet Joey had something majorly dysfunctional going on that his chops as a drummer and overall musician could no longer outweigh. That said, I hope he gets his act together and comes back to music in some capacity, but with his ouster from Slipknot, the demise of The Murderdolls, and Scar The Martyr losing its singer, plus whatever personal issues he has, who's to say?

What kind of fans do you guys call yourselves? A few years ago you were all saying how Joey was one of the best drummers and how extremely talented he was... and now he's an arrogant prick? First thing is first: HE DID NOT LEAVE SLIPKNOT, they kicked him out for who knows what reason. And second: Even if he did leave slipknot, as fans we should all be supportive and respect his decision and not be like: "Oh joey left the band, he fucking sucks" because he is and always will be awesome, being in slipknot or not.

Apparently it was a contract violation; I'm not sure how amicable it happened but that's the reason I heard. We'll know the real reason soon enough, hopefully.
@CC-br9pj
10 жыл бұрын
JuliehPeglegs Yeah, I heard it was something like that. Supposedly because he started another band and somehow violated the contract, but some are also saying it was because his sudden heavy use of drugs and alcohol is getting outta control, and that's why he's so fat. But we can't be too sure yet until they speak out.
@SuperHipsterGamer

There's alot to suggest that Joey is still heavily on drugs, and since Paul died the band just doesn't want to see another person succcumb to the same things Paul did. There's a reason to why all of them really try to keep everything civil, and there's a reason to why the drummer isn't permanently replaced. If Joey sobers up he'll have his seat back.

FYI joey is entitled compensation to any record that sold except the recent ones ..since he was fired...

How could you not? yeah I don’t know if it’s that I don't like their music as much. I lost a lot of respect for them when they did that to him plus he lost Paul then everyone and didn’t even seem to give a fuck Joeys fans Seem to care more than his brothers in Slipknot.
