To help with the night time try putting him in a crate as puppies like being in enclosed areas, sometimes being in a big room can cause anxiety as there is so much room .... try putting him in a crate and put the crate in your room at night to get him used to the crate and having a little distance from you, when he settles in your room at night slowly move the crate further away until eventually he is downstairs ... This technique worked well for my pup and he is no problem being left now .... Also when you leave him try getting a kong and filling it with something really tasty so that he wont even notice that you're not there. ☺️ Separation anxiety is the hardest thing to help a pup cope with but it's baby steps leaving him for a few minutes then going back to him and then next time abit longer and so on and so on until he is able to cope with you not being there .....I feel your pain and I really hope he settles for you soon ♥️

Stanley is good egg and potato dish. But I don't have to try to sleep through the caterwauling at night. That will resolve itself when he gets to stay with the other boys when they sleep. Besides who can withstand the cuteness that is Stanley, Winston and last but certainly not the least the once and always great Pablo!

Heyy just a little help with the toilet training try setting a alarm on your phone for every half an hour and letting him out without fail ... He will soon pick it up, my pug pup is now 4 months and he was 99% toilet trained by 3 months ...I hope this helps ☺️ Night time toileting is difficult I found crating to be great as generally they don't want to mess in their own bed and also feeding puppy earlier so that the food has time to digest kibble generally takes 6 to 8 hours to digest so if you feed him earlier and then hopefully he will have digested his food and will relieve himself before bed ☺️

Stanley wants to be with his mommy and daddy and/or brothers at night.. Poor lil guy! What I did with my Stewie pug: get an x-pen and a tarp. Set it up either in your bedroom or where Winston and Pablo sleep (you can adjust the size of the x-pen as needed, and fold the tarp so the floor inside the x-pen is completely covered. Then put Stanley's bed, safe toys, bowl of water, AND a tray with doggie fake grass (I had to weigh it down with a big rock or Stewie would drag it around/flip it over). But it worked great---pug pup safe and secure in his x-pen next to our bed and had "grass" for emergencies. Stewie (who is a month older than Winston) is now fully potty-trained but he still sleeps in his x-pen (minus the fake grass tray) just so he's not wandering the house at night getting into trouble. Anyway, just another idea! Good luck! Puppies are very challenging but sooo worth it! 😊

I hear you on the separation. I’ve had ruby 1.5years and we’ve still never left her alone! We can trust her and she’s perfectly trained but she has to be with us at ALL times. To give you an idea, she sleeps in the master bed with me. We have an en-suite only a few feet away. I cannot go to pee in the middle of the night WITH THE DOOR OPEN without her getting out of bed (and a deep sleep) to sit at my feet and wait for me. She can lock wyes from the bed but it’s like she has to be touching at all times. When I move on the bed, if there’s a gap, she rear ends herself until she’s backed into me. I can count on one hand the times she’s gone to another area of the bed to sleep (and it tends to be when she’s not feeling well) Anyway a few possible ideas: What about putting Stan in a kennel , in the LR right beside the other boys? Would he be quieter? What about an XXXL size kennel that maybe all 3 could use as a den. Or would they not like that. Or just sleep downstairs with Stan a few months until he is better potty trained. If you and Chelsey set up camp downstairs you’ll all get way more sleep! I know they’re all a little different, ruby was reliably pee trained at the 3 month mark , but she would poop at the door or after, she would sneak into a dark corner and poop if it was raining or snowing hard and she didn’t want to go outside, little stinker. She hates bad weather, still does.

Omg we went through that also, it was literally unbelievable because every time we did "alone-exercise", there where poo EVERYWHERE! 😂 We did those exercises 2-4 per day (first just daytime, then nighttime) and we let her out when she fall asleep or just relaxed/calm down. We didn't notice her until she stopped being such a drama queen😂 But it is important to let him out when he stops making those noices and calm down because then he knows that he had done something right and learns to link these two things together: when I'll be nice, they let me out eventually😊 Thumbs up anyway, I know literally how frustrating that is, but it will get easier every day👍 Love you guys❤️

Don't you think there may be something wrong with Stanley when he's peeing and pooping several times during the night? I know when we had our pug when she was little, we took her outside right before we went to bed and there were moments when she would alert us in the early morning hours that she had to go outside and we took her outside right away.

I know EXACTLY what you are referring to, when you talk about the screaming. One of our pugsters does that and until you hear it, you can't really imagine. It is the separation anxiety, for him. If we drive into a parking lot he wants to be sure we are taking him into the store with us. His papa, Mushi, does not carry on, like Patton does. We just went to Pet Smart and he didn't stop screaming until we put the leashes on them, so they could get out of the car.

@Belinda Babette ??? Who says they're put in crates because we're tired of them. It's for TRAINING. My dog was crate trained and transitioned into a bed when he was better with potty training and separation anxiety. I know you think your doing your best with Stanley but separating him from his family will be traumatic. He sees his brothers on the other side and wants to be with them. Your own words if you sleep downstairs with them he sleeps all the way through. Can't you puppy proof downstairs? To stop him eating and chewing the cables. You probably find that once he is asleep with his brothers he'll sleep through. Or buy a separate toddler bed for the boys and put it at the bottom of your bed if you don't want them in your bed. Then they are all together happily without sharing your bed. Personally I love sharing my bed with my boys. They all sleep at the bottom or in the middle and we have plenty of room. I bath my boys every two weeks and clean their face and tummies daily especially this weather with all the dirty water. When we first got our pugs my husband used to say NO puppy on the bed. That night after putting our son to bed I walked in and my husband had the puppy curled up fast to sleep cuddling him. That was our nightly routine. Then number two puppy came along we did the same. They all slept through the night from 9pm until 5am. Finally we got another pug /french mix a frug he'd been such badly abused he'd shake all the time with nerves. He was covered in cigarette burns. We did the same with him. He loved sleeping on the bed right in the middle surrounded by his family. When we went out we would put them in their baskets with socks that we had our sent on. Are even stuff a cuddly with one. Gradually our rescue dog stopped shaking. His coat and skin changed totally when we got him he used to eat 3 cans for £1-from pound shop. Plus he had amazing wind problem. We changed his diet first to Lilly's kitchen wet food then gradually got him used to dry. But I also make my own food I bought Lilly's cook book and started to make and bake my own food and treats. It's available from Amazon I'd recommend it to everyone. Stanley will be far better with his family there. Having three dog's is totally different to one. You have to treat them the same otherwise they will start getting jealous and resentment and you don't want that. Even if it means moving your front room around to protect the cables do it. So he is not separated from his brothers. Or put the boys in the kitchen with him and their beds. You must treat them the same it's important. Yes you may have lots of washing of their beds but your home. Poor Stanley needs his family don't make him sleep without his brothers at least.

You let him cry downstairs for an hour? 😳 Why would you let him do that? He clearly has issues being alone. Why don’t you take him upstairs with you? We had a nice big box for our puggy where he slept during the night next to our bed. Whenever he needed to pee he would wake us and we took him outside. We did that until he started to sleep through the night and was old enough to find his own sleeping place in the house without being scared. Keeping him locked out away from you is just cruel, sorry.
@kassandragonzalez3326

Sina Wonderful I am pretty sure he doesn’t actually let him cry for up to an hour 🙄 he probably just said that to give an idea of how bad it could get. Also, having him in the same room as them won’t make the problem of separation anxiety any better, it could actually make it worse and have it carry on to adulthood. Like he said, he’s trying to figure out the best way to accommodate his anxiety.
