Hello, This is so great! Thank you. You appreciate my videos, because they help you progress, evolve, learn new subjects. Today you can value my work. SuperThanks is a new feature that you can find on all my videos. For you it is a way for a small amount to contribute to the channel. Thank you for your generous gift. Christian Download To ease the learning of MS Project I created a new download page on Vision6D.com/download to let you download some of the MS Project files. Some suggestions. Before starting to list the tasks, ensure all new tasks are auto scheduled, at the bottom left of the screen. Also, go to the format tab and the right hand end of the ribbon check the box for project summary task. This will make line 0 the first line in the list. Also, go to view, tables, more tables, and remove the text wrapping from the task name. This will prevent fat row heights. Also, go to file, options, display and check the box for entry bar. Also, in the view tab, uncheck the box for timeline. You don't need it and it is a waste of space. Having done all of that, when you name a task, make sure that it starts with a verb. Tasks are things you have to do, which is the definition of a verb. "integration" is not a verb, so it is not a task.

Hi--question---if I need to shorten the duration of the schedule how do I do this instantly..... just as we move the start date I want to "condense" the END date... so leave the start date where it is and just shorten the completion date by sliding all the time frames LEFT??? WOW you are QUICK!

I have a qaieyion regarding work resources let’s say if I have a 10 numbers of carpenters or plumbers to do a activity so I will add all 10 numbers of workers one by one in resource sheet or there are ways to add only one time to get the end result of 10 carpenters cost.
@vision6D

Thank you for your question and yes, absolutely. For this in resources you have the capacity column, which by default is 100%. Create a resources named carpenters and set the capacity to 1000%. Then you apply this resource to the tasks 10 carpenters will be doing. Try it and let us know how it worked for you. Greetings from Geneva.

@vision6D
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and thank you for your constructive comment. Yes it's on the plan.Tracking is here to control how your project is evolving in reality. Then you need to report on where and why you have differences. For this you need a reference, this is the baseline. What do you think about this?
@_embark__
4 жыл бұрын
@@vision6D that means we have to report MS Project about the completion of various task on the field regularly, then only it will tell us about the amount of work pending on the status date.... am I correct? add if you like something to it sir.

@@_embark__ yes this is it. If you do not feed Ms Project with the evolution of your project, it will not be able to report on it. So tracking is an important task for the project manager.

@@stryfus to my actual knowledge this was a feature in older MS Project versions like 2010. This feature does not exist anymore. You can always use custom fields. If you find a better solution, I'm also interested. Greetings from Geneva.
