JAM: Just A Minute Talk about a topic for a minute. Ex: sports, hobbies, friends, books, etc. "What is your favorite mode of transport? Stage 1: Rules: 1- Must keep talking for a full minute. (no pauses longer than 3 seconds) 2- No repetition of ideas. 3- No writing or making notes. start your timer and begin speaking. Stage 2: Collect ideas from the speech that you delivered. Now talk about the same topic again for 1 minute using your notes. Stage 3: Add more ideas on your notes based on your second speech. Now talk for a minute using your notes. Bounce Stage: Record yourself. Once you have the third speech, give your speech again , but now by recording yourself. This is important for two reasons: 1- You can identify what areas you need to improve. 2- Keep your recordings and listen weeks or months later to check improvement.

Not to say succeeded, just met the demand of the college I applied for. Huh...Personally, I think it's kind of impolite to give English tips under a English coach's video... The most important thing I can tell you is KEEP doing exercises and reviewing the mistakes you made (for reading/listening/writing section). Also, prepare tons of materials in your mind and form a 'chained logic' , so that you can keep talking smoothly.

You are the best English teacher I have ever met online, and I have chosen your channel and lessons in my journey to learn English grammar. I am an immigrant American citizen; however, my grammar is not good because my brain needs to be re-trained or modified to renew the foul English language I have learned from my previous country of origin. So my brain needs an overhaul job! I have listened to many KZitem English teachers, but you are the best! In the beginning, I always prefer to have a native speaker American or British English teacher for obvious reasons, but to my dismay, I have never learned from them. YOUR STYLE IS DIFFERENT; YOU ARE VERY CLEAR AND ON POINT. I decided to stick with your channel because too many teachers are often confusing. Different teachers always have different teaching styles, and styling is fundamental or critical to people like me. You got me right on point when it comes to your styling in teaching! Thank you, Sir! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Finally, my English grammar has improved!

Every time I try to summarize the day (i mean talk to myself before i go to sleep) I always encounter difficulties towards fluency since I am thinking about the “grammar and sentence structures “ Because of that, I feel so disappointed and frustrated whenever I practice English speaking by myself 😭 However, after watching your video, I have made up my mind to practice English speaking by using your method and I expect myself to keep doing the speaking practice day by day. Anyway, I really appreciate it.

What a great technique! EFL students need to build an environment around them where they're constantly getting a chance to be exposed to the language they're trying to learn, so listening to music, wathing movies, etc will certainly improve their listening skills whereas a daily dose of JAM (no pun intended) will do wonders as far as speaking skills and confidence are concerned! I have developed one method for my self. If it gonna work for you or not i don't know but I think I should share it. I love the game of cricket. So i love some of the eloquent commentators. I used to do nonstop commentary on my own when I am playing cricket alone(throwing the ball to wall and hit the returning ball with bat 😅). You can use it with your favourite game. It helped me a alot. At least I started speaking. Untill you start speaking you will never gonna gain confidence. Bottomline is incorporate English in the thing which you really love to do. Because you don't even realise what you are doing. You will just enjoy the process.

Thanks you for this video! I have had a big practice by playing a game with my friend from Netherlands (i'm from Ukraine) and at the start it was really hard to do. But in a time, i noticed that i improved my fluency that i could speak without trasnlating what I want to say in my mind. I realised that when I got really mad in game and started to yelling at someone in microphone :D But after some time we stopped to play together and speak in discord so i lost all my fluency and I want to get it back. Will do everything you say here and we'll see how fast i'll get that lvl I once had.

What do you recomend to do on watching a tv show, videos etc? With subtitles in my native language or in english? Or both, first in native, second in english, and then just in english? But, give me a tip for not beeing bored to learn it, like repeating and repeating the same thing. Thank you.

If you are comfortable watching with English subtitles that is the best way. If a movie or TV show is too hard to understand you can use subtitles in your own language. One trick I like to use after watching a movie is to get subtitles in English and in Spanish (which I'm trying to learn) and compare them side-by-side. I find it very useful to learn new vocabulary and phrases.

One question: Is this technique based on the assumption that you already have an advanced vocabulary? and you only need that one step to get to fluency? If that's so, then there should be added a forth step for people of an intermediate English level, which would be: looking up relevant vocabulary! I'd like to know your point of view.
