In september i will be playing guitar for an entire year! Heres my story: Wanted to play electric, but forced to START OFF classical guitar. I was hoping to get an used 60 dollar strat, but i got a 400 dollar SG 😊 I played on classical for about 4 months, then switched to electric. After only 1 day of playing classical guitar, i already knew some songs. Im still a beginner, but i can proudly say that i am a really fast learner and has very fast progress. But i have a big problem. I never learn songs completely because i always get stuck on the solos. For example, Symphony of destruction, enter sandman etc. Meaning i now have a bunch of uncompleted songs 🤷♂️

Write down your unfinished songs, learn the solos whenever you’re advanced enough. Only advice: literally just keep practicing, you’ll get there trust. This comment’s almost a year old i hope you atleast made some progress with soloing your fav songs

I learned misrlou after about 2 - 3 months of playing. As of today, I've been playing for 7 months, my first public performance is tomorow. I'm gonna play paranoid (with the solo) and iron man. The hardest riff I know? Tornado of souls. Your progress is still better than mine i think
