Where do you find these mv ballasts I can’t find any 175w ones that run without a capacitor cause I’m trying to replace the bad 240v one in my nema head with one in 120v

This one is a 240v 110w tanning bed fluorescent lamp ballast. It isn't ideal for long runs as the ballast gets a bit warm, but it works for small 5 hours or fewer runs on 240v.. and for your ballast needs I'd try asking around on lighting groups on Facebook because often times you can find cheap good ballasts that other collectors will sell that will work or if your lucky the exact same one you need

You can also use 70w pulse start metal halide ballasts with the igniter cut out of circuit to run 100w H-38 mercury lamps.

you can do that with 100 watt metal halide ballasts

@@fendyboi404 It would overdrive a 100w mercury lamp if you did that.

@@HIDLad001 I do it all the time and it works as normal And I use it pretty frequently with no problems In fact I've put 400 watt mercury vapor bulbs on 400 watt(probe start) metal halide ballasts and that also works as normal
