Wanted to thank you for your work! I don’t know why anyone would want to disparage your name, a lot of people were saved last week because you were willing to show us what’s actually! The news here in S.C. gave us minimal warning before hand and just constant updates throughout the storm with a shocked tone!🙄😳 Because I watch your broadcasts every time you post, I was able to get some family members to postpone their vacation to Asheville! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Prayers to all! My father is in Evans, Ga and still has no electricity. We’re praying for y’all! We’re praying for the linemen! Conservatives voted "NO" to giving more money for securing the grid in May '24. They said it would raise the cost of electricity. However the cost of damaged grids will cost far more and continue and increase over time as they can fail repeatedly! Best option: take out a loan and get every outer wall in your home insulated. This vastly lowers cost and mediates highs and lows during any outages. Take advantage of "free" solar when available...you generate solar and your energy co lowers your bill and uses part of your energy for the grid. If safe and available grow trees. Heavy canopes lower the temperature about 10 degrees in summer. I also suggest one of those old style dull house roof vents. Turn it on at dawn in spring and fall and Crack the windows and it will blow out the warm air, suck in cool air, then close the windows and not have to use ac for hours! Or put a small one in the kitchen. Even that can make a huge difference in your bill. You can also turn on your a/c "air" and cool the house like you do with a vent. I do that in spring and fall then turn it off for hours. Makes a big difference with the bill!

@toroverde9329 I'm in Central Alabama. We really didn't get anything from the last hurricane. We got outer bands and 30mph winds on the backside of the last one. Prayers for all the people affected. We know folks in Florida who are hurting, but since NC and TN have been suffering so much, there hasn't been much media about where it made landfall. I heard it was a 400-mile track, and it was a wide one!

We Floridians are well trained about hurricanes and do the best we can.Sometimes it' larger then we can battle but rest assured most of us no when to evacuate and when to batten down the hatches. This is why many insurance companies are pulloing out of covering home within 30 miles of our cost lines. There's another factor and the waters are warmer these last few years around Florida and the Gulf shorelines which boost the hurricane possibilities
