Instead of randomizing individual hands by rotating a chip irl or an RNG online I think using intuition on which spots are good or not is a far better approach. Each street randomizing becomes worse and worse of a strategy. Preflop it's not so bad, but anyone randomizing whether to call or fold on a river is just bad at poker, Doug Polk included. Trust your gut, your subconscious is doing all sorts of calculations and drawing from recall in order to nudge you in the right direction. Don't ignore that because you think you have to randomize to maintain MDF or whatever reason you do it. Great vlog as always, keep it up!
@richcheckmaker9789

Also 4betting ATos 50% of the time when you get 3 bet from the small blind has to be too high of a percentage right? Even if that were your only 4bet bluff candidate (ATos) I would think 50% is still too high and you almost certainly have other 4bet bluffs there too (A5s AJ and AQos maybe?).
@nardinit

You're basically opting for a exploitative strat rather than GTO. I do agree, exploit is the way to go, especially live. Need to mox in some gto with tough online games.
@betadecay6503

No-one, Doug Polk included, relies completely on randomising. They do it in spots where they have no reason to deviate from GTO, aka no gut feeling. The fact that you say "anyone randomizing whether to call or fold on a river is just bad at poker" shows that you don't know what you're talking about. If you know the baseline, you can deviate from it depending on your understanding of your opponent, you don't just go with your gut.

yea, that min click to 650 was actually silly, thinking the guy would just fold ? bro, use your melon. not sure of his op stack size but people at the vic dont usually 3 bet to 325 just to fold to a 4 bet min click, they're more than likely saying lets tango. never understand these guys who overplay hands they consider weak, just play the hand passively then until your hand is stronger, why try get tricky all the time or even 50% of the time. guy had jacks as expected. woulda been better to just play it out and try to crack em. i'd rather just risk 325 and see a flop, rather than raise double and fold to a shove without ever seeing a flop. what a waste of money...

The biggest leak in my game is playing way too loosely when i have been card dead for a long stretch. Usually starts by playing mediocre hands in position, but will progress to playing any two in any spot.

I don't know exactly how much you had in your stack, but what about ceckraisng all'in on the turn with 109s of hearths? I know you are representing maybe just 1010, but at the same time if you want to have some bluff raise, that's maybe the best and to do so. It blocks 1010 and has aot of equity vs AQ/KK/AA. The fact that he didn't bet aces on the river after your turn made me think that he could possibly fold at least some time and with so much equity you don't need too many folds.
@garyblackwoodpoker

Definitely viable, I think it would be a good play tbh.
