I coach several kids sports. The name game is always the very first thing we do. Its a good ice breaker and it helps all of us learn each others name.

good drills for beginners here. a lot of these videos online for beginners are made for 9 year olds that are heading to Duke next year (not really close to beginner level). these were solid for rec league.

Thank you for this wonderful video. Kids enjoy all the games I have made them do. For the 1st drill where you pass by calling out the name, I added another ball if number of players are above 5... which makes it more interesting and fun and also improves your decision making to not pass to a player who already has the ball or is about to get a pass. Kids loved the chaos and confusion it causes.

Pound dribble is really affective, it’s simple and can get you way better coordination.

Basketball isn't a healthy sport for kids to play. Too many leg injuries caused by running and jumping on an unnaturally hard surface. My uncle injured his hip playing basketball when he was 11 years old, and he wound up requiring surgery and having a limp for the rest of his life.

So because your uncle had a bad experience you think all kids shouldn't play? That's arguably the dumbest thing anyone has said on KZitem and people talk about Trump still 😂🤦♂️💀

@@grizkrelez It isn't just my uncle. There are more leg injuries from playing basketball than any other sport, including football.

Wow, no offense, but life has risks. I am 52 years old and I still play almost every day. Better bball then sitting around stagnant and overweight.

Just wrap kids in bubble wrap and keep them inside. Running = Dangerous. Driving = Dangerous. Swimming=Dangerous. Playgrounds = Dangerous. Riding a bike = Dangerous. Never leaving your parents basement = Safe.

@@michaelschlager2808 It's not that I'm against physical activity, it's just that I don't think basketball is a good sport.
