I’ve been doing KZitem for almost 7 years. I’ve accumulated over 20,000 views in total with all my videos. I’m just now getting consistent because of my time in the military (I am still active). Finding the consistency was one of the biggest problems for me when I came back to doing KZitem back in 2022. But I feel like I am doing better now. I got a good setup, I’m steady figuring out ways how to improve my videos rather it being edits or quality in general. The energy I put in my videos is 10 out of 10 (me personally). I just want to show the world how entertaining I can be with the videos I put out. Thank you midnight man for the tips & things of that nature. I know one day I’ll be known for entertaining people across this platform. It’s not a race, it’s a marathon. I won’t never lose faith in it.

This is a really good video, and some points you've mentioned are things I am guilty of myself. Specifically comparing myself to others, such as much larger gaming channels who focus on the no commentary gameplay as I do, and being disappointed in their content which leads me to ask why people watch their stuff when it's clearly subpar. Not to say that I think I am better than anyone, but more that I am putting in effort into what I am producing, and wondering why I am not picking up these subscribers / viewers. In any case, creating videos on KZitem is very fun, and trying to find your niche to stand out in a saturated space is a challenge but can be very rewarding.
@GamingwithStilez

Depends on the algorithm in some instances, and in how new your channel is. Also, it depends on their viewer base. Their established members will likely watch them over anyone else if the content is comparable. Trust. Relationship. Guy has been watching Tuber for 6 years and will not easily start watching a new channel with the same content. People might watch 3 channels with the same content, max. Build your own viewer base. Those viewers are more likely to bring in viewer bases from other creators. Be yourself. Always. Go nuts. Be introverted. Be special. Be you. (I am not used to talking when playing games. Yes, i talk. Mumble to myself and talk nonsense, but i am not used to talking to people who are physically not there). I talk more watching an episode of Resident Alien.
@GamingwithStilez
6 ай бұрын
But, also take into account that you can learn a lot from established creators and their viewers bases. Learn what you have to do while being yourself to improve your content. After that, all you can do is wait. (Not sure if you are allowed to do polls concerning other creators. Could ask youtube viewers why they love content from these creators.)

I must say - that last one hit home. Though, I enjoy looking at similar channels to mine (similar/around the same subs) and just see what they're doing, what seems to be working for them and so on. Personally, it highlighted what I felt I was doing right and found things I can improve. It almost felt like "analysing myself". But - like you said - it often messes with you and I get upset and disappointed with myself. I also do the "no cam" but that's cos I don't want it to be a floating head channel. Having a camera in my face stopped me from posting at all, so I removed my blocker, kinda. I feel like I got a good voice and that's what I want to highlight anyway. But yea - some days feels great. Others feels super difficult and discouraging and I've only been doing this for a few months. I've wanted to start for over 10 years and I'm finally here but it's so hard and I keep asking myself "what I'm doing wrong", which feels horrible. Not easy. Thanks for this vid, though. None of that BS talk about "beating the algorithm" and "post daily" crap :)

I've only just started uploading, thank you for the tips, I'm going to stick with 100% completions with a face cam/commentary, it's difficult to show so much energy all of the time when you're recording for hours on end, so I'm honestly winging it, and just being myself, I'm not one to raise my voice or go over the top with my reactions, I would rather grow a community that sees me as more of a natural gamer. I've seen so many channels that try to do 100% completions but then stop half way through and it has always annoyed me, so I'll be working on actually completing them, with rapid uploads, I also just want a place to document all of my future playthroughs, and KZitem is the perfect place to do that, I guess we'll just see how it goes, starting out with the new Path of Exile league. :)

I would say most of this applies to streaming on twitch too! I think once I get the ps5 camera and they can see how I look while playing the viewers will go up. Voice over don’t tend to do well unless you have a silky/pleasing voice! I like the idea of sticking to a certain style of game too. If people come to you for fps games they might not want to see you playing an rpg. It all depends.

Returning Subscriber Here! I'm about to come up on a year of being on KZitem, and I can admit that I use to compare my channel to others a lot and tried playing the games they play, which most big gaming channels do first person horror games, I've even tried out a couple myself and couldn't finish them like the others can, so I'm just sticking to the games I personally like and happen to be into, which are RPGs and suprisingly Psychedelic games, I know its odd but after playing one psychedelic game on my channel i want to finish it, but I've noticed from playing RPG Maker games i've gained some audience from it, especially when i started playing Undertale, but since my channel got deleted I have to start all the way over again, but after being on KZitem for a while, I was real consistent with my content too, I stopped worrying about if I could gain more views and subscribers, I'm not sure if that's a bad thing but I almost made the mistake of talking to someone who could help me promote my channel, anyways enough of me yapping, I just wanted to come back to this video and thank you for the tips

I came to the conclusion that my channel has been through way too many niche's over the years that I made a new one as a fresh start and to not get pushed against by the conflicting content that'll confuse the algorithm and potential viewers.

It’s definitely harder than people think it is… you have to have the consistency and creativity to keep people engaged and coming back. That’s not easy to do… especially in today’s world. I’ve had a gaming channel running for around 8 years now and while I myself have improved… the channel has not. Well… not that much anyway… but it DOES depend on what you’re uploading and what people are searching for at that moment in time… which is always changing. It’s also good to know when viewers are most active… timing your uploads and making good thumbnails. But even with that mindset in place… you can only get so far… and that’s even IF your channel has enough data to provide you with that information. Most channels don’t… and it might be because they don’t post often enough or they’re just not getting enough watch time. Back in the day… people would post 2 to 3 videos daily… and some of those are big names we know today. One of them being Markiplier. I just feel like people aren’t completely committed to that and post like once a month or they lose sight on what ACTUALLY gets views and don’t stick with it…and even if they DO stick with it… they don’t find it as enjoyable as what they WANTED to do in the first place and then eventually get burned out on it. Also… just because you make content that is ACTUALLY engaging to people… it’s not gonna stay that way forever. Things get old with time… people move on… then you gotta find something else. Which is why a lot of KZitemrs don’t stay the same and change up their content. They do it with strategy. But they also change as a person. But it depends on who you are I guess and what audience you’re going for. Look I’m not trying to be a stick in the mud… but it’s just not as easy as it used to be to become successful in this market because there are WAY more people doing it these days and they all want the same thing… this has made the market become very saturated over time… and has made it harder for people to get discovered… aside from everything I’ve just said though… I WILL not lose faith! Not yet! Thank you for this insightful video. Much appreciated!
