What makes #1 hilarious to me is that not only is CM Punk from a town miles away from Chicago, but the Allstate Arena isn't even in Chicago, either. It's in a village called Rosemont, which is why it used to be called the "Rosemont Horizon". It was made even funnier when he was in AEW, and they'd book a card that was billed to be from Chicago, but took place in a village called Hoffman Estates: An hour drive outside of Chicago's city limits. Just like with Buzz from Home Alone, it always seems to be the weird suburbanites who drape the Chicago flag on their wall.

Thank you! I’m rolling my eyes at everyone trying to draw the lines between West Newbury/Boston, Rosemont/Chicago, etc etc. It’s not about the specific city/village/borough/township/whatever, people. It’s about the metro area you’re in. I’m from Cincinnati, and I could get all specific and say that Moxley/Ambrose is technically from Amelia and Pillman was technically from Northern Kentucky, but nobody outside this area code knows or cares about the difference.

I think that Canadian Stampede should have been #1 and CM Punk at MITB as #2. The cameras were literally shaking during a lot of the match at Canadian Stampede. Seriously just watch the Canadian national anthem the ring ropes are shaking from how loud it is in the building that night. I was at the RAW in Detroit when Shane McMahon returned after 7 or so years and that was legit the loudest pop I've heard at any event I was in attendance for. I've been to several home openers, playoff games and even championship games for both the Red Wings and Pistons (early 2000's when both those teams were still incredible) I can tell from just watching the Canadian Stampede on tv that the crowd there that night was substantially louder than any of those events!!! Punk's was cool bc that reaction was literally just for one person but hart foundation reaction that particular night is easily the best pop for any act on any given night ever (and it pains me to admit that bc I can't stand whiny ass Bret Hart but gotta give him that at least)
