You pull out one of my favorite cards, Surprise Deployment. It has been in my America flicker deck from the beginning of it, now Hinata runs it (who doesn't want a one mana Ghostly Flicker). It puts out many value pieces and/ or saves my face. My favorite thing to drop? Agent of Treachery. 'nuff said.

Hey Demo, I really enjoyed your content while getting in to MTG over the past year or two. I learned lots and you filled my card wishlist to the brim with those cool lesser known cards in an attempt to shove them in decks they don't belong. Loving it. I recently took the challenge to build around 'Rakka Mar' and I'm curious what you'd do with this card being 'The finest pawn of Nicol Bolas'. Cheers from Holland, keep doing what you're doing.

I sorta disagree with your assessment on statecraft. You say that you don't want to be in a deck that's attacking but actually statecraft doesn't effect "on attack" triggers so in decks where you get value on attacking but not dealing damage statecraft will let you swing freely all the time to get those triggers and not take and repercussions after.

I don’t think I want a card in my deck that only hits Sorceries. When I am building a deck and trimming it down to 99, this first thing I am cutting is Sorceries. It seems too situational to me and since it’s blue I’d probably prefer a Counterspell in my hand.
@moedark4390
2 жыл бұрын
ya a counter spell is gonna be better but vanilla meta. I put squeeze in my mono blue flyer deck , it has no sorceries and i like it as static board wipe protection. when the i took the counter spells and tutors out of my decks my fun level rose.

I agree, generally, about counterspells and tutors. I prefer the randomness of EDH and only run tutors in my top 2 or 3 decks. (I have around 25 decks and they’re mostly casual.) I also use counterspells very situationally, like when someone tries to pop off a one sided board wipe like Cyclonic Rift. I believe most people enjoy “fair magic” in a casual game! Lol
