10:11 That's because the QB Kneel Down wasn't a legal play until 1987... which means that the Giants had no choice but to run the ball. 🤷🏾♂️ Sounds like New York football to me. 😅😂😅😂
@dtplusthepoints3409
3 ай бұрын
While technically true, the only part that became legal was being able to kneel without getting hit/touched. The QB, even in 78 could just take the snap and kneel/drop to the ground, but he risked getting hit as he had to be touched to be ruled down. Pisarcick even did that on the 1st down of that drive - took the snap and immediatley dropped to the ground, which was legal. Thats what makes the ensuing plays even dumber.

He had to wear a special kind of shoe that was flat at the front and (supposedly) made him more accurate than someone with a "normal" foot, and in part, because of that, the NFL made a rule that any shoe worn on an artificial (or, in his case, deformed) limb on a kicking leg has to resemble a more normal human foot. That, and they moved the goalposts back and made it that if a field goal missed the other team got the ball on that spot.
