Open ski hatch is enough to let them play through. Whether those subs would work well or not is down to the reference level you have and the expectations.

Hi Peter. I have a question or questions to ask you here. I have an 18" sub here that I want to use in an IB for my future build (T3 Audio T2000 18") the car is a 2017 Hyundai Accent. How do I go carrying out the position where I fire the sub? Is it the same way you aim the front in the trunk or aim the cone into the backseat? Because my backseat cannot fold down. Also, what would be the recommended wattage to use on the sub? I don't want to overpower it and kill her, even though I rebuild subs for a living.
@broberts5occ
5 жыл бұрын
If your back seat doesn't fold down you can use the rear deck lid. Just make sure to reinforce the heck out of it lol. The link below is a good read on different IB setups. www.the12volt.com/caraudio/infinite-baffle-free-air-subwoofers.asp

Modzie If the rear seats don’t fold down, expect reduction of SPL output. If you have an arm rest in the middle, modify the seat and make cut out window where the “bass” can come through, the result is worth it! I’m going to make a test in this car to show the differences with rear seats up & down plus tailgate open & shut. Which way the sub faces does not matter. In most cases it depends on how you can construct the mounting for the baffle and how you can keep the boot more practical.

@@pssound9749love your work and videos! Question, I’m a SQ SQL guy and is currently planning my new system. I have a 2007 Ford Taurus, rear seats up don’t fold down. I have a good cutout in my rear deck to allow bass into the cabin. I’m mainly focused on SQ with my subs and having the right box. I’m running 2 12 stereo integrity SQL subs. Is it possible for a IB or get a custom ported box made for my trunk? Or do you have any suggestions?
