I strongly, strongly disagree with those who say "Han shot first." This implies that Greedo shot at all. And since Han killed Greedo before Greedo could shoot, it is obvious: Only Han shot.

The point is that "Han shot first" is a response to Lucas, who decided to revise the original and say "No, no, Greedo shot first. Han was only defending himself". And, as is frequently the case when anyone tries to "sanitize" a story/myth/fairytale, the older, grittier version was arguably superior.

Shaak Ti could still be alive: she's been on Kamino and did briefly come into contact with the plans for Order 66 - perhaps she created clones to investigate so she could go incognito, it explains why she has so many non-canon deaths.

Remove the word 'never' from the title and you'd be accurate, most of these are among the most watched deleted scenes there are. Perhaps you should try actually digging in areas beyond just the DVD extras, there are rarer scenes out there!
@ebinrock

Oh please. These deleted scenes are all on the special features of their respective blu-rays. What's TRULY lost media, which I have not seen on any release since the theatrical print I saw in 1983, is the shot of Jawas stomping on Luke's hand as he holds onto the grating of the floor above when he's in the Rancor cave in ROTJ. THAT'S something I bet most if not all the viewers here have NEVER seen. Does ANYONE know the whereabouts of that shot (or set of shots, b/c I think Luke falls after his hand is stomped on)?

Used to be a black and white workprint clip from that scene found in the online bonus extras tied in with Rinzler's Making of Return of the Jedi book from years ago, but no idea if it's still available at all. Haven't looked in years - my guess is it's not.

@@ebinrock Don't think it was ever in the actual movie - saw it plenty of times myself in 1983 and it was never in there. Although there were color photos of Luke hanging from the grate in one or more of the various magazines/books that came out when the film was released

Grevious's introduction was in the Clone Wars MICRO SERIES, where he was actually a beast; not the "no stakes" Clone Wars appearances. (Look, Clone Wars is solid- but for the main characters, they can't be killed off or maimed, so not like Grevious could actually be a threat nor could Kit Fisto actually take him down)

Or it shouldn't have been a checklist... Han get name? Check (which was pretty bad- just let it be a family name...) Han in Imperial Flight Academy? Check Han rescue Chewie? Check Han meets Lando? Check Han win Falcon from Lando? Check Han do Kessel Run in 12 parsecs? Check Just tell a good story that maybe hits a few of those- don't need to hit everything that happens to him.

@@Sephiroth144 of course not. Most movies are different because that translation doesn't work within a 2-3hr window most of the time, but they didn't have to make up an inferior storyline when the one in place is already loved.

Yeah on that Biggs scene, it made ZERO sense to put the reunion scene with Biggs on Yavin IV back in for the Special Edition and NOT put back the Tosche station scene back in! Either leave them both out, or put them both back in.

The Zack Snyder cut of the movie “justice league“, if it proves nothing else, shows that the fans will absolutely happily receive and view version of the movies that they enjoy, and maybe even enjoy them more, if the deleted scenes are put back in. One may not want to sit for four orfive hours in a theater watching a movie, but sitting comfortably in one zone home is another thing entirely. They could take all these deleted scenes and cut them back into the movie, to tell all of the stories, to show all of the tapestry, and I would be willing to bet that fans would go wild over it. I’m talking about episodes one through six. The notorious “anti-sequel trilogy“, that was excreted onto the screens, don’t count. For those movies, the major way to improve them would be to delete all of the rest of the scenes, and simply eliminate those three mistakes altogether.
