@@dirtfarmer7472 - You know what.....I think texting and driving is way more dangerous than drinking and driving. Why? Because a drunk driver will still be looking ahead of them down the road, plus worry about seeing a cop. A driver texting will look down, having eyes off the road entirely for maybe 2 to 6 seconds, and then looking up and having to orient themself. When I used to cycle a lot, I was much more worried about drivers testing, than drunk drivers. That my take on it, while others may disagree.

As a medic I responded to at least 2 car accidents due to texting and driving. The one driver missed a curve on a very rural round and it killed her. When I was pulling her out of her car her head flopped like a chicken. We saw her text as she crashed. The other was a 16 year old girl who crashed into another car. The girl was fine from what I was told as I was flying on the helicopter that day. The other car was wrapped around a pole. We took the mother to the hospital and she died an hour or two later and her 12 year old son was being extricated. As the other helicopter was about to land for the child EMS crews on the ground cancelled them because the child was dead. Both mom and son were killed thanks to a 16 year old girl texting and driving in a school zone and her all important text killed 2 people because she just couldn’t wait to make that text or read the other text.

I wouldn't say it is impossible to outrun a tornado (in a vechicle), as they typically travel across the ground at only 10-20 miles per hour (although than can move as fast as 60, which would make it far more challenging). If power-lines fall on your car stay in your car until the proper authorities come and deactivate the lines. You are safest in your car because your tires basically insulate you. But if you touch the metal parts of the car you’re in trouble. If the car is on fire then you have to get out but DO NOT touch the car or you’ll be electrocuted. If you have to get out you want to keep your feet together and hop away so you don’t put your feet in different places on the ground hitting different voltages as you’ll be electrocuted. I could explain the different voltages but it’s not necessary for what I’m saying here. If you can safely drive away you can but if unsure it’s safer to stay in your car and wait until the proper people from the electric company tell you it’s safe. At least this is how I understood it when I worked for an electrical company.

I just came here to chime in about the comment on laminated glass. Laminated glass won’t disintegrate because it is two lites bonded together with a PVA sheet between. They’re literally stuck to the laminate, that’s why the glass doesn’t go anywhere. The other reason laminated glass doesn’t disintegrate is because laminated glass on windshields consist of annealed lites. Back glass is typically made of tempered glass which is designed to disintegrate into small pieces when it breaks.

To my surprise, it wasn't Texas and Florida that allows texting while driving. Instead, it's Missouri and Montana, although Montana wasn't as big a surprise. I thought for sure Texas would be one of the two states but from what I've read elsewhere, they are pretty lenient about it. How some people think it's actually okay to text while driving baffles me. It's never okay unless your vehicle is at a full, complete stop. Just one moment's inattention while checking your messages and you can wreak chaos onto yourself as well as others, even kill someone by accident. It doesn't take much. Phone zombies are everywhere, though. I've had them walk into my car at stoplights and I wasn't even in the cross walk. They were jaywalking and glued to their screen and bam, walked right into the side of my car then looked at me like the proverbial deer in headlights. I kid you not, the first thing they said was "I didn't see you". Dude, I have a bright orange car, how could you not see THAT? LOL Pay attention folks. That hail storm in Denver was insane. I was stuck on 6th ave near denver west in my brand new car...

My son and I saved my car during a hailstorm. We threw every pillow, quilt and blanket in the house over it, quick time. I heard hella BONG BONG sounds, looked over to see my 13 year old wearing a WW2 GI helmet. We saved the paint 👍

@jacquelineleapheart2965 unfortunately I was stuck on 6th ave which west of denver turns into a state highway. Traffic was stopped because of massive amounts of golf ball sized hail. My new jeep needed a new hood, windshield, roof, sunroof, dent repairs on the doors, and new trim. Further west of where I was at, the hail was so big and heavy that it was smashing up the surface of parking lots.

I find it ultracringe when people try to text and drive. You're in a heavy object going very fast. Pay attention.

The low beam headlights were incorrectly set on the car in that first video. You should be able to see close to 350 feet in the US, and double that distance on high beams.

That was a tiny, weak tornado, compared to what happens in the US.
