It is so frustrating to have one expert say you should absolutely drink coffee and lists all of the benefits of drinking coffee. Then another expert tells you that you should not drink coffee and tells you all of the negative results of drinking coffee. Whom in the world should we listen to?

Well, as with anything there are studies on both sides of the coffee spectrum. And there are a a lot of growing, processing and influences at play too that are things to all consider. In general - coffee that most people consume is rich in chemicals, additives, flavors and is harmful to the lymphatic system. If you still want coffee - I recommend switching to this brand - I use this sometimes and recommend because it's the cleanest option avail: puritycoffee.com/?rfsn=6854966.bd35ab7 Grab 20% off with code: NHR20

i have been struggling with problems with my lymphatic system for over 10 yrs and have slowly discovered thats what it is over time by trial and error... i am sooooo pleased to have found your channel with all of this info! i am obsessed with coffee so i will stop drinking it.. i was told about dandelion and have tried using a cousin's dandelion salve and jelly he makes from his organic farm but I will get some tea now 😊.. i eat dairy especially yogurt and protein shakes (both dairy) high in protein to keep my protein level high .. what do you suggest I eat to be able to keep my protein levels high? i am eating as much meat and eggs as possible ... i didnt know not sweating was a sign of lympathic system problems. im 56 and done with menopause and thought maybe this was why .. also i noticed maybe 20 yrs ago that a tiny bit of alcohol didnt agree w me so that was revealing as well. I'm so excited to take your master class.. i've been trying so hard to get and feel better after years of pain and anguish w medical community. i'm trying to get my insurance to pay for lymphedema treatement now that includes massage therapy.. i have been paying out of pocket for this and cupping w steaming for 10 yrs or more and it seems to help. i also swim 3x a week .. do you have any particular treatments or exercises you suggest to help w drainage? i currently have a sore area that feels swollen to me at right center of my clavicle and after doing research on my own i think this is a lymph blockage... my dr keeps saying he isnt finding anything in mri or xray and pain management drs just want to give me prescriptions and im not into that at all.. thank you ! 🙏🏾 thank you! i might have a chance to get my health and life back now..

As my mom once told me, "if you rise early, exercise daily, stop eating: red meat, sugar, biscuits, cakes and bread you still probably won't live to be a hundred but it'll damn well feel like it". The truth is, we're all going to die one day. Everyone wznts to live a long healthy life but for the majority of us there is a balance between living longer and living healthily. Find your balance.
@NaturalHealthResources
Жыл бұрын
Your mom's wisdom rings true, and finding that balance is key. While there's no guaranteed formula for a long life, making healthy choices can certainly enhance our quality of life. It's about finding what works best for each of us individually. Moderation and mindful decisions, like reducing red meat, sugar, and processed foods, can contribute to our well-being. Living healthily doesn't solely mean longevity; it's about enjoying the journey with vitality and wellness. Quality matters as much as quantity. We're all on our unique paths, and embracing that balance that suits our individual lives and needs is the way to go.

Omg! I had 16 lymph nodes removed from around my ovaries in 2017 and just now having bad lymphedema in one leg and groin area. I’ll be seeing a specialist in a few weeks for it. No one has told me to eliminate exactly what you mentioned here and I consume, daily. My biggies are dairy and coffee. 😢I already knew about the others, so starting now, those are off the table. I’ll register for your class too. Thank you!

As someone who has auffered with lymphodema in my legs for at least ten years, and struggled with weight, swelling, water rentention for most of my life, I can honestly say that this stuff works. I'm going to make these chamges one at a time and work them into my routine, someone mentioned about coffee being the reason I'm struggling to lose weight and I've gone from ten cups a day to about 1 or 2 at the most, and literally overnight I can feel the difference. I don't mind decaf. Now it's time for the sweeteners. They can go, switching to water and fruit infusion instead, I'm going to be sad to see dairy go but it's going to be worth it, I've always been big but had lots of energy and really struggle with my weight, metabolism and swelling, I think I'm learning the cause of many of my problems. Thank you so much for this, I've taken notes and will work in the changes over the next few months. I can't wait to be healthier.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I'm genuinely glad to hear that you're finding positive changes already. It's wonderful that you're taking these steps to improve your health and well-being. Reducing coffee consumption, transitioning to water and fruit infusion, and being willing to make adjustments like cutting out sweeteners and dairy can indeed make a significant impact, especially if they align with your body's needs and goals. Remember, it's a journey, and making changes gradually is a great approach, allowing your body to adjust and embrace healthier habits. Your determination and commitment to improving your health are inspiring. Stay positive, and remember that progress may have its ups and downs, but it's all part of the process. @mandograssable, You're absolutely right! Edema, or swelling, can be caused by various factors, including varicose veins and poor circulation. When blood flow is impaired, especially in the legs, it can lead to fluid buildup and swelling in the ankles. In hot weather, being on your feet for extended periods can exacerbate this swelling due to increased blood pooling in the lower extremities. It's essential to address the underlying causes of edema and seek appropriate medical advice if you experience persistent swelling or discomfort. Thank you for sharing this valuable information.

One I respectfully disagree with is protein. And this coming from a 47-year weightlifter no less. The body doesn't require protein "per se" but rather the constituents of protein, amino acids. Veggies, fruits, berries, melons, etc contain amino acids. We just need to eat a wide variety to obtain them all. This isn't to say that we need to avoid our favorite proteins all together, but rather to cut way back on them as the human body is not designed to consume lots of acid ash, acidic, acidifying, dead, cooked, denatured animal flesh. Cooking alone destroys the integrity of these foods and denudes them of their nutritional values. Dr. Robert Morse is 100% against all proteins and he has been healing people for 50-years using only fruits and occasional vegetables, ie, salad. I do eat some beef, chicken, eggs and fish because I love them and don't want to cut them completely out, but I have cut way back due to multiple ailments and illnesses obtained from eating them too frequently and in too great a proportion over the years. We need mostly fruits, melons and berries for optimal health with small portions of veggies and protein if we so desire. Here is Dr. Morse speaking on the subject. - Dr. Robert Morse on Protein, Amino Acids, Non-Duality & Duality Consciousness. kzitem.info/news/bejne/qqBt1omGinmGd5g

@NaturalHealthResources

Thank you for reaching out to me with your question about Lipedema. Lipedema is a chronic condition that affects the legs and arms, causing swelling and pain. While there is no known cure for Lipedema, there are several treatment options that can help manage the symptoms and improve quality of life. In terms of updated suggestions, there have been some recent developments in the field of Lipedema research. One promising approach is a combination of manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, and exercise. This can help reduce swelling and improve lymphatic flow, which is often impaired in people with Lipedema. Please feel free to arrange a meeting with me so that we may talk about your health and wellbeing objectives: bit.ly/3EmExdU

@PaulineHendricks-wt9oc What? Where did you get that idea, do tell. Lipedema & lymphedema can co-exist. Lymphedema will accompany late stage lipedema. Lipidema occurs in about 11% of women. It is inherited in autosomal dominant fashion with hormonal influences. Men rarely have lipedema . Lymphedema is much more common. It may be local, usually caused by trauma or other local problem. Or it can be generalized, due to heart disease, kidney disease, nutritional issues, low protein levels, etc.

It's important to be mindful of your dietary choices, especially if you're experiencing swelling in your ankles and feet. Excessive coffee consumption, high dairy intake, and too much salt can contribute to fluid retention and swelling. Consider moderating your coffee, dairy, and salt intake while increasing your water consumption and incorporating foods that promote healthy circulation and reduce swelling, such as fruits and vegetables rich in potassium. I recommend you check out my masterclass on LYMPHATIC FLOW.If you suffer from pain, swelling, or fluid retention, learning how to stimulate lymphatic flow can provide significant relief and improve overall health. www.letyourlymphflow.com/

Cheese has less lactose, (hard cheese may have very little) than milk, so could be a sign that it's lactose that's your issue. Try lactose free milk and see how you go with that? Coconut and avocado oil may both contain plant sterols because they come from seeds. I use both, so I am disappointed that that causes a statin-like affect and can raise blood pressure. I wonder if it is about moderation, though. Since olive oil is often sabotaged with canola oil, the whole oil thing is really frustrating to me now. I wonder if macadamia nut oil is considered a “seed” oil. This should all be simpler🤯. There is a Dr. Mason on KZitem who discusses some of these things, but I don’t know if he is actually integrative. It feels like he is one of those that is beginning to speak out, yet in a safe way by pointing to studies, not that all studies can be trusted.

I almost live on a you could say kinda Paleo based protein diet.. means i eat daily meat with a bit of vegetables, or little bit of noodles or rice. Like a chicken curry, steak and veggies, stew with mashed potatoes, barbecue.. such stuff. I cook fresh and only use little salt and dont cook too fatty and i think this helps a lot. A few years back i tried to live vegetarian but i put on so much weight it was shocking. This video seems to explain why. Probably the low protein diet did an extra harm and i gained a lots of water weight. Very interesting, i went to get a Chinese Traditionbal Medicine treatement and was a bit sceptic first, just showing them my tounge and getting the pulse meassured. I Didnt eaven mention my water but suprisingly they told me that my "Chi"(fire energy) is low and im the "water type" so i should avoid food that cools down the body and gave me a full list of foods to avoid such called "cooling foods" such as: pig-meat, milk and dairy products, green salad, cucumber, wheat (bread!), etc.. it was very interesting... i followed this "list" for a few months and got my weight back to normal again. So food does matter a lot.. but seriously i cant skip my morning coffee 😅 But as they explained me you dont have to stop eating the things youu like, it already helps if you reduce the amount of intake. So its also ok to "sin a little bit".

My gastroenterologist said there was no cure for liver disease, but I should drink 1 to 3 cups of black, caffeinated coffee a day. No one has ever mentioned that coffee could contribute to my lymphedema since it started. That's a real eye opener for me. Do I drink the coffee still? Yes! I drink raw milk, straight from a local cow - not processed at all (except being passed through a non-heated physical filter). It tastes marvellous and has dramatically improved my health, esp my gut. Please can you say something about this. You made a distinction between salts, but have not said anything about raw milk.... Another issue is bread and baked goods. I make my own bread with flour that was in the field 2 hours before I bought it and which is milled to order here in France. You can't get anything more pure and LESS processed than that. Could you also address this? I beileve this kind of bread is fine, as it is not made with anything other than water. salt and yeast. It is full of active, healthy ingredients and is nutrient rich as the land has not been touched with pesticides for over 8 years. My own land is the same. We bought the house 4 years ago and the land had not been touched for 8 years, and so was a real mess. We have brought it back, and not used any persticides on it, EVER, so that means it is now 12 years free of that. You cannot get better tasting fruit and veg. I love what you do, but you have not been making very fine distinctions here and this is not helpful for people like me, who are in slightly different situations. We had a good diet in tehe UK, but our diet is even better now that we buy seasonally, (it's like this all over France in the supermarkets)...this way you know that what you are buying is fresh and has not been in storage for over a year.... we get produce from local farmers far more than we ever did in the UK..... and grow our own: peaches, apples, grapes, plums, mirabelles, cherry plums, wild asparagus, spinach, raspberries, strawberries, carrots, potatoes, onions, mangetout, green beans, garlic, spring onions, black walnuts, hazelnuts etc, quite a lot. We also have acres covered in dandelions, nettles and lindenblossoms. We buy/eat 25 different vegetables every week, and fruit is extra. I have started creating conserves and pickles and am now exploring fermentation. We buy lean local meat, some butchered to order, too. Can you also address fermented foods? All dairy is not equal. Kefir and buttermilk are supposedly NOT inflammatory, but the opposite. Again, I'd love to have some information from you about this. Could you say some more about this?

Hi @yourtransformationgenie, It’s fantastic to hear about your commitment to fresh, local, and minimally processed foods! You’re absolutely right that the quality of food can significantly impact health, and it’s clear you’re making thoughtful choices with your diet. Raw Milk:** Raw milk can be beneficial for some people, especially if it’s from a healthy, well-managed source. It retains beneficial enzymes and probiotics that can support gut health. However, it’s important to ensure that the source is safe and that you’re aware of any risks, as raw milk can carry pathogens if not handled properly. Homemade Bread:** Your approach to making bread with freshly milled flour sounds excellent. Freshly milled flour can retain more nutrients and flavor. If the ingredients are pure and you’re not adding preservatives or artificial additives, this type of bread is generally a wholesome choice. Fermented Foods:** Fermented foods like kefir and buttermilk are indeed beneficial for gut health and are often less inflammatory than some other dairy products. They contain probiotics that can aid digestion and support a healthy microbiome. Just be sure to listen to your body and consult with a healthcare provider if you have any concerns or specific health conditions. Seasonal and Local Produce:** Buying seasonal and local produce is a great way to ensure freshness and nutrient density. Growing your own fruits and vegetables, as well as foraging, adds even more value to your diet. Fermentation and Conserves:** Fermentation can enhance the nutritional value of foods and improve gut health. It’s great that you’re exploring this, as fermented foods can offer numerous health benefits. It sounds like you’re doing an incredible job with your diet and lifestyle. Keep up the great work, and thank you for sharing your insights! If you have any more specific questions or need more detailed information, feel free to ask.

@@NaturalHealthResources Thanks for your positive response. I realise now, re-reading my own words, that I've made it sound as if I am perfect, when that is far from the case. My food and drink plan has been inspired by the Bodhimaya plan, which you are advised to do 80%of the time. I like it as even its prep period was close to the prep I had already done on myself at the time, prior to launching my 'New Me' plan - I swapped coffee for roasted chicory, white sugar for honey or modest amounts of fruit which have some sweetness and flavour to them, and which contain some goodness (enzymes etc), and eliminated gluten for a good time. I like this plan because you can have a glass of wine once per week, so a little party is permitted, and you can run with using your eye to measure you food, so no-one notices what you are doing, and therefore will not police you. Example: one portion of white flat fish like plaice to cover both hands, one portion of salmon or trout to cover one whole hand, one portion of steak to cover your palm, one portion of cheddar is a matchbox, one portion of parmesan is a pack of playing cards etc. So easy! It is a plan that is simple, human and workable as the eliminationg of gluten does not have to be permanent. If your gut heals, as mine did, you can re-introduce it later, so the notion of never eating sandwich or pasts again does not stretch out like a life-sentence or misery in front of you. I am not perfect, I make mistakes all the time, so anyone reading this should not feel misled or pressured into thinking you have to be perfect to succeed. You don't.

What is your stance on Organic Soy Milk? If a no, what non-dairy milk is best? I could make soy milk from organic soybeans, but it is quite a process. Thoughts?
@NaturalHealthResources
Ай бұрын
Hi Tkarlmann, The debate around organic soy milk is complex. Some studies suggest it can be a healthy alternative to dairy milk, while others raise concerns about potential negative effects. Here's a breakdown of the key points: Environmental impact: Organic soy production can have a lower environmental impact than conventional methods If you're looking for a non-dairy milk alternative, here are some options: Almond milk: Low in calories and fat, but can be high in sugar if sweetened. Oat milk: Creamy texture and high in fiber. Rice milk: Sweet and mild-flavored, but can be high in carbohydrates. Coconut milk: Rich and creamy, but can be high in saturated fat.

Hi Rosemarie, It's understandable that your mom wants to maintain bone health, but the milk might be contributing to the swelling. Let's find some alternatives. For calcium: Try fortified plant-based milk (like almond, soy, or oat), leafy green vegetables (kale, spinach), tofu, or fortified orange juice.For reducing swelling: Encourage her to drink plenty of water (to flush out excess sodium), limit salty foods, and elevate her legs when resting. @NaturalHealthResources
Жыл бұрын
@dragonchi26 • 20 hours ago Hello! I appreciate your questions about reducing swelling and the role of dairy, including plain Greek yogurt. When it comes to managing swelling, focusing on an anti-inflammatory diet can be beneficial. Foods rich in antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, and hydration can all play a role in reducing inflammation. Consider incorporating foods like leafy greens, berries, fatty fish (like salmon), turmeric, ginger, and nuts into your diet. These choices can contribute to a more balanced and anti-inflammatory eating plan. As for plain Greek yogurt, it's true that it's a good source of protein and probiotics. However, for some individuals, dairy can contribute to inflammation. If you're considering including Greek yogurt, observe how your body responds. If it suits you well and doesn't trigger any discomfort, it can certainly be a part of a healthy diet. Remember, individual responses to foods vary, and it's always a good idea to listen to your body. If you're concerned about inflammation or have specific dietary goals, consulting a registered dietitian or healthcare professional can provide tailored guidance. Thank you for seeking information to support your well-being. Best wishes on your journey towards a healthy lifestyle!

Hey @tkarlmann, thanks for your question! I think a meat-free diet can be great if done right. Beans and rice are a solid alternative protein source. I’d suggest a 2/3 beans to 1/3 rice ratio for a good balance. It's true, you don't have to eat them at the same time; your body can store incomplete amino acids for a while. Brown rice is generally better due to its higher fiber and nutrient content. Hope this helps! 😊🍚🌱

Hi Melissa, thanks for the food advice Re Lymph E. I might add that I had stage 4 LE I was fortunate to find LE specialists at Jeff Co Health In Fairfield Iowa. Paige and Paige studied at a program affiliated with The U. Of San Diego. With elephantitis I went in to see Paige and Paige and took the week LE program and got measored for 5 strap velcro boots to Keep L E from returning. I'm wesring those leggings with special socks right now. Paige and Paige are the best. I went from stage 4 to Normal you dont get any better than that. Again thanks for your advice. What are you thoughts on grape seed oil doctor.. thanks

Hey there! Thanks for asking about grape seed oil. It's actually a pretty versatile oil with some potential health benefits. Grape seed oil contains antioxidants and healthy fats, which can be good for your heart and overall health. It also has a high smoke point, making it great for cooking at higher temperatures. However, like any oil, it's important to use it in moderation as part of a balanced diet. Always listen to your body
