Please Alan: Don't overdo it with the background music. This is such a stupid trend with so many videos here on YT. Maybe someone tells/told you that add-on sound has to be to make the video "livelier" and to "keep the audience interested" and nonsense like this. In the end it's mostly distracting. And it tells us (the more sensitive people who watch) that what you say is not enough. Has to be augmented and upholstered. So, please consider the music theme. Perhaps something between chapters, here the single pics. But not under / over every word of you. Besides that: I am very happy with your new channel! And am looking forward to receiving a copy of the second print of your book. Greets from Munich!

Brilliant set of photos Alan. I particularly liked your photo of the woman studying the tube map and your pigeon shot . I too like photographing pigeons in black and white .I was chuffed to learn today that I had come 2nd in the Amateur Photographer of the Year Competition, Wildlife category with a shot of pigeons perched on a glass shelter of a train station in Glasgow. I have your book and was fascinated to learn that the cover shot was taken with a 90mm lens, I presumed you were using a wide angle. I am a great admirer of your photos and I also enjoy taking people shots on the London Underground. I understand how you expose for highlights and the shadows become totally black without any detail but I don't understand how many of your tube subjects look as though they are caught in a spotlight. Can you explain this or is this a trade secret !!? Many thanks

3:39 The 24 mm lens would have done no such thing. Distance between camera, subject, foreground and background determines perspective. The angle of view determines the field of view. The angle of view is the correct measure, not the focal length of the camera.

So nice and interesting! The last one - 9:51 - seems like those Anime lines 😊👌 And I suppose this "one time shot" wasn't even caught in burst mode As for the 8th: lovely concept. We might have suspected that would be an hidden message behind the crack. But what also intrigued me (besides these lovely layers) was her feet. It seems she could be standing on her tip of her toes; and for some reason; also occurred me that something similar happens when someone is caught on air jumping... but the rest of her body doesn't show that; and since she wasn't jumping... this also happens when the subject is interacting with a tilted set on the background... but this also doesn't seems to be the case of her being laying on her backs over a house ripped from the ground. Does anyone got the same impression or I am really losing my mind? 😂

I'm enchanted by your black and white photographs and as I'm very inquisitive about creative photographs of esteemed photographers as to how this or that was or wasn't made, like the portrait of the woman from a very close range of about ten feet and the image has a telling surprise of a wonderful street shot and I want to know the people out of the region of focus have watermark depiction around their figures, I know you have noticed them but I'm inquisitive that how did you manage them to be possibly there, kind of interesting though slightly distracting adding a sense of not ignoring them against the the great relief of the flattering woman face which the viewers must come back over and over again and that's where the picture succeeded! The pigeon in a rippled pool of puddle is the best to me and I want to see more of your work to be seen!
