One thing that I find helps a ton that I’ve seen from a few other people online is to do a brain dump at night and write down either on paper or digitally everything that is on your mind for each different role that you have/area of your life. This helps keep these thought from randomly popping in your head and stressing you while you’re trying to get other things done. Then choose one main focus for the next day and as soon as you wake up, do that one thing first (or after main morning routine). By knocking out your top priority early, you experience success at the beginning of the day and the rest of your day can flow with you knowing you’ve already gotten that done.

Thanks for sharing some of the systems that work for you. When my children were little, I got rid of the throw pillows on the sofa because I was tired of constantly picking them up off the floor. It made a big difference for me and nobody missed them. Also, I found an attractive storage hamper and that’s where we threw the blankets when not in use (no folding required). My family always knew where to find a blanket when they needed one.

Your videos have been so inspiring to me I am struggling lately to just wake up and get to it!! We live in Kansas I came across this randomly searching for help online and you really do make me feel like I can do this with the encouragement you send out in each video. Thank you for taking the time to show us who are clueless how to serve the Lord with our whole hearts in each small task throughout the day. Sometimes I wonder is it making a difference but I see that it’s going to take some patience and practice. Love watching you beautiful family work together!! May the Lord bless you all!!

Good habits make my life so much easier. If I get behind, it just creates more stress and a bigger job to do. I leave for work around 7 AM and don’t get home till around 5:30. I make my bed everyday, clean the kitchen, pick up, do laundry and take out trash as needed. Once a week, I do all our bookkeeping and paperwork chores. Bathrooms are cleaned once a week and floors vacuumed at least bi-weekly. We have hard floors in our kitchen and dinning room so I quickly dust mop them daily to remove the crumbs. A tip to reduce the amount of housework is to have less stuff. Declutter the duplicates, the dust collectors, the multitude of stuffed animals, too many clothes that don’t fit in the closet or dressers. Let’s work smarter, not harder!

Amen to the one load of laundry a day!! I live in Japan and don’t have a dryer so necessity mandates that I do a load every day because I won’t have enough hanging space if I don’t stay on top of it! It’s a routine I love and one of few areas of my life as a mama of 3 boys that I can feel like I’ve got control of!

I love these tips, thank you for your encouragement. After watching a few of your videos, I quickly learned that I needed an electric frother, lol! I checked your Amazon store, but I didn’t see one. I did a little research and chose one. I’ve been using it a week now and I’m in LOVE with it! I’ve made cold drinks with cold foam and my daily hot coffee with dense foam. I love, love, love it, you should really add one to your store. I got the stainless one from Bizewo if you need one to link. It has 4 frothing options. I can’t wait for your next video, I’m almost completely caught up with your channel, lol. *edited - I’m sorry, you do have one listed, but it’s unavailable.

Since I’ve moved out on my own, I find it so hard to maintain routines. But the one I’ve mostly been able to successfully execute is to empty our dishwasher (we use it as a dish rack) in the morning while my morning coffee is being made. I also find myself really busy trying to squeeze in bible time. So I’ve been listening to expositional (verse by verse) teachings by a few different Calvary pastors while I accomplish these chores in the morning.

She would still be doing the same laundry, whether she did it every day or once a week, because she probably doesn't run it when it isn't a full load. I used to do the laundry once a day but felt like laundry was never ended. Dana K. White of a Slob Comes Clean recommends a laundry day (or two if you have a large family). I thought she was insane but decided to try it. It totally works for me. I have two days, Monday and Thursday, but then the laundry is done until the next laundry day. I don't have to think about it or anything until the next laundry day. I get the feeling of "done" which is really great for my ADD brain. Different strokes for different folks, as they say!

You can also find out from your provider when it's the cheapest time to run your washing machine. Often it's overnight. If you get up in the middle of the night and the laundry is finished, you can toss it in the dryer and get it going.
