My favorite is when Neville gets his remembrall and the smoke turns red, indicating he forgot something, but he can't remember what he's forgotten. However, all the students sitting around him are dressed in their school work robes, but Neville isn't. He forgot his robes. It's a cool nod, showing us if we're looking closely what his mistake is.

If you think about it, there were a lot of opportunities to put slight references to historical figures being wizards or witches. I personally know that there is a portrait of tzar Ivan the Terrible in Dumbledore’s office, which is weird and interesting to think how a Russian tzar could be a Hogwarts headmaster. It’s also notable how this portrait was featured in some of Harry Potter video games and in Hogwarts mystery. Maybe historical figures in Harry Potter lore as wizards and witches could be a great idea for a theory or speculation video

As I understand it, you should think of the portraits of previous heads as essentially AI versions of the original people. They are imbued with the personalities and (at the time of creation, current) memories of the people depicted. Also, they seem to be able to retain new experiences (as a portrait) as well. I’ve always thought that the portraits in the magical world were a potentially volatile topic of philosophical discussion. There is certainly a lot to think about there.

Are there any significant differences between the UK Philosopher’s Stone and the US Sorcerer’s Stone?
@xnadean9165
2 жыл бұрын
Storywise no. The only change is that every scene where the title of the movie was said out loud had to be filmed twice since philosopher has 4 syllables and sorcerer only 3. So the movement of the mouths wasn't identical. According to this there were alternate versions written in the script. The american version was the original script and there always was a little mention at the bottom "for the british viewers" when scenes had to be changed because of this. Also there exists a scene where philosophers stone was said by Harry but it was not voiced by Daniel Radcliffe. Probably due to the mentiond voice changes. Why I know this? I'm a german fan of coldmirror who makes an amazing podcast about the movie taking it apart minute by minute sometimes even frame by frame.
