TheRealYoshi yea I feel bad y’all got cheated out of the playoffs. We were INCREDIBLY lucky in many games to be there. Blair Walsh missed a kick that woulda tied the game and if our record tied with them Seahawks, we wouldn’t have made it. Also Bears almost scored and beat us but we’re luckily stopped at the end zone on fourth down. The Saints also almost beat us in week 14 but we got a lucky interception

No other way to say it, that was one of the most shocking & painful defeats in NFL history. However you should take some solace in the fact that the Vikings got obliterated the very next week, probably a sign that the Saints wouldn't have won anyway

Missing from this list: Alex Gonzalez-Many people like to blame Steve Bartman for the Cubs losing game 6 of the 2003 NLCS but in reality, a dead double play ball that would have ended the inning was hit at Gonzales and he flat out booted it. This continued the Marlins carousel around the base and eventually won the game 8-3. Fred Brown-1982 NCAA Finals between North Carolina and Georgetown. Jordan hits a jumper putting NC up by 1 with 15 seconds left. Brown dribbles over the time line to the top of the key looking for 'Sleepy' Floyd and saw someone out of the corner of his eye to the right who he thinks is a teammate so he passes it...to the Tar Heels' James Worthy essentially ending the game. Gary Anderson-Vikings were 15-1 hosting the Falcons for the NFC Championship game. With the Vikings up 7 with a little over 2 minutes left, Anderson, who hadn't missed a FG all season, lines up for a potential game clinching 38 yard FG but he missed wide left. Falcons go the other way, tie the game, and eventually win in OT. Blair Walsh-2015 NFC Wild Card game vs Seattle Seahawks. Seahawks are clinging to a 1 point lead with 25 seconds left and the ball on the Seattle 4 yard line. Blair Walsh lines up for basically an extra point. Instead of hitting a game winning chip shot, Walsh pulls a real life Ray Finkle and pulls the kick left and the Seahawks live to see another day.

Other horrible (aka inexcusable) plays that cost their team the season: Whoever the Cincy defender was who laid out Antonio Brown when the Bengals had the lead in the playoffs. Steelers got 30 yds in penalties on a play that was an incomplete pass, setting up game winning FG for Pittsburgh. The Green Bay special teams guy vs Seattle in the playoffs - that muffed receiving Seahawks onside kick. I guess Bill Buckner's wicket bad play at first in Game 6 of the WS doesn't count because there was a game 7.
